  • This is another thing I have been getting.

Shows up after editing quick settings.

  • The charge percentage on the AOD is not centred with the fingerprint circle, and it would look better with the dotted font like before.

  • This

The one thing I would suggest is to give the ability to resize the lock screen clock… that should be an option & also add more fonts.

Otherwise the boot animation is on point… charging & fingerprint animations should just be left alone coz they are too good for me…. also I have notice the phone turns on fast on 3.0 beta than when it was on 2.6… I also love the uninstall animation

Found a bug where the glyph progress lights don’t light up even though a notification says that they are on.

Nothing has done a great job with the update, here are my three suggestions for better experience and things I like in the update

  1. Ability to change the grid size in notification panel (🤫 feels like using my granndma phone 😢)
  2. More levels to select maximum charging level
  3. Fix screen Refresh rate to auto adjust (Dynamic refresh rate), where it goes to a low at 1 fps at peak brightness only šŸ™‚
  4. Phone hangs a little when using

Things which were so gooooood in this update:

  1. OS -The update was as smooth as butter, gliding through the process without a hitch 🫔
  2. AOD - ( can wehave some lock faces 😁) and widget area that can be scrolled horizontal with or without expanded widget area 😐
  3. Smart drawer šŸ˜„šŸ«°šŸ»

So here are some of the bugs I have faced so far in the new beta update :

  1. No glyph indication in Zomato - third party glyph progress is not working on my case

  2. Photo of headphones connected not showing - earlier in bluetooth tile of quick settings, photo of headphones which were paired via Google fast pair used to appear but after the beta update it’s not showing (although it still shows photo for my ear 2)

  3. Media player sometimes doesn’t get alligned properly - half of the media player disappear when I switch from landscape to potrait, although it gets fixed when I reopen the quick settings panel.

This are the bugs I encountered till now. Will update the thread when this issues gets resolved or I encounter more bugs.

The vibration is absolutely non existent for messages and calls at this point when it’s in your pocket. I don’t even know if my phone vibrates anymore tbh.

Sid I don’t think they can fix this. The quality of the motor used is not good or up to the level to which we expect a device in this price range to have.

    • Sid replied to this.

I take Markdown notes on my PC.

When I open them using Xodo, I usually see the classic Roboto font. After updating to OS3 open beta, I see the Ndot font.

The beta is pretty dang smooth so far!

      Pros:

The new boot/fingerprint/charging animations are great, I cant wait to see the animation engine implimented in more places.

It feels so smooth. Ive had zero app hangups, no lag between opening and closing things. And unlocking the phone is snappy as hell.

The Camera widget is GREAT. Im stoked it finally landed on the Phone2. (And for those wondering, you can customize it completely in the widget settings.)

The new quick settings area is great, customizable, and looks cool in dark mode. Though I have to list a con with it below.

      Cons -

The date on the lockscreen is HUGE. It looks super out of place. Make it follow system sizes.

The padding in the quick settings shade is insanely large. Either size it down or make it customizable. Theres so much empty space, and its just… not great. On that topic, the brightness slider is HUGE and Im not a fan.

I love the smart drawer, but make it available to be edited. Some apps arent getting catagorized correctly and itd be nice to use it to its full potential.

I really don’t like this inconsistency with the button colors when they’re active in the quick settings panel.

Why is it red for some and white for the rest?

Just make it all white or all red just like the widgets…

Z_Aid I disagree with that, because while typing, the vibration intensity is way too much in comparison to the intensity you get for calls and texts. I highly doubt it’s motor related.

startiel The red feels like they’ve literally just ripped off OnePlus. Not sure why they’ve gone with that tbh.

And along with the size issue, it seems like the media player on the lockscreen is really big now.
