Honestly I think since they take such risks with designs I would love to see a flush camera stack I.e no camera bump. I would trade a bit of extra thickness for that. Also catching up to everyone in terms of quality and quantity of camera lenses would be nice. Maybe a rearranged glyph layout to differentiate Phone (3) more from (1) and (2). I think if they keep using last years flagship silicon to keep the price down and bump up camera quality they will absolutely demolish the mid tier or “budget flagship” category. Also personally I’d like to see a black option again or maybe an ever so slightly tinted option. I love and appreciate the design but, as a person I’m typically picking understated things and I think that the black or just a slight tint in the glass would give the subtlety I’m craving. Oh and I feel like this should have been a requirement for from the start at phone (1) but sapphire front screen or something more scratch resistant. I think just those few changes plus refined software would absolutely create the absolute perfect mid tier masterpiece.

[Edit] Oh and probably an actual must have deal breaker type of improvement… water resistance IP68 feels like the standard for any phone worth having since 2020

I would expect e-sim or v-sim plus IP68 on the next phone.

Then probably need a 6.1 inch phone for small phone lovers . just like iphone.

A 5x/3x telephoto lens, consistent cameras with better HDR and near to natural colour science, more customisation features, more system and third party widgets, if possible now playing integration (auto detecting songs). And probably do away with glyphs and use that money elsewhere probably on better camera sensors etc since it’s not useful to majority of us and since Nothing has made it’s name for itself now.

A dedicated security chip like Knox or Think shield or Secure Enclave

This will help in privacy protection of the users,as there is a growing cases of scams on internet

This can help Nothing grown even in security space and trust in data privacy

I am quite surprised by how Nothing has grown in 3 years, which now seemed to be a competitor for Apple,Samsung and other high profile mobile companies,so I wish to see this one Extra feature in the upcoming Nothing phone 3

A 6.1″ “midrange” version would make me get one instantly. Something similar to the S23

    Other wants:

    • Alert slider
    • Headphone jack
    • Expandable storage
    • Decent performance to last for years
    • Good haptics
    • Power button fingerprint sensor

honestly this would be my first nothing phone, but my time to upgrade is coming and I don’t want a huge bulky phone. I’m not a very heavy user, but I want my phone to work and perform well.

I would like the phone 3 to have Verizon as one of it’s fully compatible mobile data provider. Instead of a provider that could sometimes work.

I am fourteen and am on a Verizon family plan. I would like to have a nothing phone that is compatible so I could get one.

For me I suppose its important to get the latest processor for Nothing Phone 3.

Why not the new MediaTek Dimensity 9300? Keep the price down slightly compared to the latest Snapdragon serie.

Also a proper IP 67 or 68 certifikation.

    Phone 3-

    1. Better battery life and larger battery. (primary requirement)
    2. Slightly and uniformly curved display. (like Huawei mate 60 Pro)
    3. Dolby atmos true stereo speakers. (not the earpiece doubling as speakers)
    4. An alert slider/button or a physical camera shutter.
    5. Headphones jack.

Rest all i expect normal incremental upgrades. Because everything else seems perfectly on track.

Hi guys, I was just thinking of other people’s opinions if I’m going far for wanting to see a nothing fold 1.

      Mabey somthing like…

      5000Mah

      50mp/50mp

      Snapdragon 8+3

      12-16gb ram

      And somthing along the lines…

I really want it to be the size of the OPPO find N2 the mini foldable…

      Somone tell me please

OvidiuCîmpurean Maybe a QuadDAC for that 3.5mm, it would be awsome. Enough to power a 300 ohm headphone and files up to 32bit 385hz m - ESS Sabre ES9219 chip, would be more than enough, like the one on the late LG V60

Some specs for you all. It honestly it’s something that no one is doing now. Market void.

        MadMoicano

It can be any DAC for that 3.5mm jack, it would also be a sign of respect for the potential customer, especially as we are being asked before launch. For example ASUS for Zenfone 9 uses Qualcomm Aqstic DAC with hi-res support, I had that phone in test and was very pleasantly impressed with the audio quality. I gave up on that model because the display diagonal was too small for my eyes. Otherwise everything else was superlative in terms of battery life, audio quality, signal in poorly covered areas, IP68 protection even though it had a 3.5mm audio jack, colors and display brightness, the video stabilizer gimbal, etc. LG V60 I didn't have and didn't test, but I don't think a good audio DAC and a audio jack complicates the construction of a phone that much. Now whatever happens with the new Model 3, if it doesn't have the audio jack I'm afraid it won't pique my interest.

Rob ⚡️ Wouldn’t it be smart to have 2 discussion forums. Like one for hardware wishes or improvements and a second one for new creative things. One thing that most of the people have in common is that it’s hard for them to have real new ideas. Most of the times it’s “just” a improvement of something that allready exists I’ve read all 50 post of the last for hours and 99% were nothing(By the way I love it that u can use that word pretty often when speeking of Nothing®)new. And 99.99% of the times at that Human think about something new, they don’t imagine something that is >“really”< new there imagining something that is newer than just an “improvement” of something existing. So yeah, long story short it would be good if we have 2forum underpages.Personally I think I have a few of these “more new” ideas, but I would like to put them on the second page.

There’s one thing I’d ask of Nothing for future phone releases and that is to make a smaller variant. I genuinely love my NP2 but my only major gripe is not having the option of a 6″ screen (roughly) version as 6.7″ is too big for some people, it’s too big in a jeans pocket and very difficult to use one handed. This is why the heavy hitters such as Samsung, Apple and Google routinely release two sizes of phone because there is a clear and obvious demographic for both. Now I appreciate that creating a smaller model isn’t really any different from making a new phone from the ground up but if there’s a market for it (which there clearly is) then surely it has to be a consideration? Software improvements will be part of the phone’s natural evolution so not bothered about that. Nothing, I have one of your phones and you have my attention but the idea of only being able to have a massive, un-ergonomic lump in my pocket for my phone eternity doesn’t appeal. Oh and please don’t do that thing where you dumb down the specs for the smaller model. Same phone, just smaller.

If I were to suggest any minor improvements they would be just that, minor. I’d quite like to have a counter on the icon dot to display how many messages I have on say WhatsApp for example. Independent ringer and notification volumes would be nice although I thinks that’s coming. I’ve seen a lot of users pushing for better optics which would be great but this just adds expence to production costs and subsequently higher purchase cost to the consumer. Personally I have no issue with the camera and video quality on the NP2 but I’m just an average Joe camera user and by no means a photographer so as long as it takes a good quality photo and shoots decent enough video I’m good. I would like to see a native gallery along with Google photos.

            Enough talking about specs:

            “Newer” Ideas:

No Buttons: No buttons on the side of the Phone instead a pressure field on the right side of the phone (maybe on the left too).

            Swipe up – Volume up

            Swipe down – Volume down

            Taping(like with a button) – Phone on/off

            Double Tap – Individual action

            Trible Tap – Individual action

SIM card, SD Cart and Battery slot:

And maybe you can create something like the Shift Smartcharger but with additional space for the Battery’s. There were a lot of great review on Phone(2) battery life, if phone(3) battery life could be even better + that if used smart it would be crazy(maybe if would be possible to pair that with Qdot display solar-technology to generate energy and lower that anoiying reflexion) it would be almost infinte battery.

Fun Glyph Design: Maybe a design with a eye-winking smiley.

            ##Wished Specs and (Software posibilities):

I have a phone(1) and 95% of the time “even” a Snapdragon 778 G+ is blazing fast so I would think that power efficiency is mostly important so for phone(3) I would stick to a 8 Gen2 because it’s a lot more power efficient and will probably be cheaper that the newest chip of 2024.

More durable metal border: The (Phone(1)) looks great but the eluxated aluminum(/aluminium) gets scratched up quickly, it’s more like there small chunks of metal beeing knocked out.

Better HDR: It’s self explaining but i think even if the processor isn’t good enough we can wait 5minutes for example in exchange to decide by our self how long HDR pictures should require(maybe in expert mode).

Brighter display: >1500Nits and > 2000nits Peak HDR

            (RGB Glyphs)

            ###Other

Would it be posible to place the EU-Certifacion somewhere different I mean the phone still looks great with them beeing on the glass but it does not look perfect.

OvidiuCîmpurean Right on, look up the Lg V30+, it is IP68 and has the 3.5mm and it is pretty slick we are talking basically the with of the 3.5mm port. And if you look at the teardown it is pretty straightforward.

Also. I’m i the only one that think under display fingerprint are not practical? I always have my phone facing down when i pick it up, i have to go an extra step to unlock with thumb. I would very much like a back “indicator finger print sensor” makes more sense, your finger it’s already there basically when you pick up the phone. (Or maybe side button for the thumb.) but under screen it not at all practicall.

Plus that light while unlocking will be the first sign of burn-in for sure.

I like to have a cute phone

*6.1-6.4 will be ideal for one hand operation.

*Decent quality camera with HDR. In this area a huge improvement is needed .Even for WhatsApp video call the quality is not upto the mark.

            *Charger in the box.

*Give the best screen protection available in the market.

*The concept of glyph light is great. I like more 3rdparty apps to be integrated with it.

*Need a good pocket mode which reduces false touches.

I work for Dewesoft.com so I believe hardware spec is just number as compared to a good optimised software.which you give your best.i am so happy with the software experience.
