I want to see an eSIM option, such a time/money saver when roaming. Also I’d like to see more color options and one of them is the true black color like we had with Phone (1).

For me i would like to see the following things:

More colour options, nothing too vibrant, just some subtle premium shades
Snapdragon 8 gen 2 or gen 3, same RAM configurations are fine
Improved cameras (especially low light performance)
Possibly a third camera but only if utilized properly, i would rather not have it if it doesnt serve a purpose
Continue to build out the OS, so far the team has made amazing strides and at a time where hardware upgrades are incremental it would be great to see continued improvement, thats where most people will notice the difference
Extended glyph features, its been great to see some extra features in Phone (2) and it was a great way to test the waters. Theres no need to make it overly complex but im sure we could see some great integrations.

Dream features (but unlikely)

Action button is cool, i hate to copy others but the functionality is amazing and really beneficial
Expandable storage
I made a concept once about adding functionality to the rear of the phone, perhaps some kind of low res or even e ink display for basic functionality and notifications, media controls etc

Rob ⚡️ I have an idea make the power button a fingerprint sensor and when it senses a known finger for 2 seconds it opens the camera app or some other app according to what you set. Now you have added a new functionality to the power button.

Rob ⚡️ Wouldn’t it be smart to have 2 discussion forums. Like one for hardware wishes or improvements and a second one for new creative things. One thing that most of the people have in common is that it’s hard for them to have real new ideas. Most of the times it’s “just” a improvement of something that allready exists I’ve read all 50 post of the last for hours and 99% were nothing(By the way I love it that u can use that word pretty often when speeking of Nothing®)new.And 99.99% of the times at that Human think about something new, they don’t imagine something that is >“really”< new there imagining something that is newer than just an “improvement” of something existing. So yeah, long story short it would be good if we have 2forum underpages.Personally I think I have a few of these “more new” ideas, but I would like to put them on the second page.

Below are main to be included at-least :

A SD Performance Grade (SD 8 Gen 3) Chip-set with CA network connectivity (not a fan of 5G) but better connectivity, required with fast upload and download speeds and one more Mid Performance (SD 7 Gen XX) Series for better affordable.
Clean and clutter free OS sometimes I feel the pixel is also making complex esp with with big notification bars and others kind. (Still using One Plus 6) for the clean OS I love it is so much customizable and clean.
Fan of music and will listen offline music a lot so possible Hi Res Audio codec’s and Dolby Atmos enabled stereo speakers, Please bring back the head-phone jack , One plus 6 was the last phone to get head phone Jack 🙁 .
Strong build to lasts long may be full aluminum casing or titanium casing with Good IP Rating.
Extended support of OS and security patch(possible follow of Pixel timeline 😛).
Gliph I/F is good but shouldn’t be distractive may be vanilla phones would be good. but I like the design language of nothing phones.
Alert slider is really good(may be if is used defined that would be better) it is must and should have.
Camera’s can be good enough to take the usual clarity pictures I don’t use much camera so not a priority.
UFS 4.0 and LDPPRX RAM is must for swiftness.
2k High Resolution screen with 120 HZ for 6.7 inches Display.
High Security Ultrasonic Finger Print for better enhanced security/Like Apple’s Face ID bio metrics simply superb works in dark as well (preferred) without touching the phone.
Dual SIM (one Physical and one ESIM) capability.
Need Good Wireless EarBuds that sync with Phone as well.
music music music I love music so Di hard Fan of FM not sure it is really matters cuz can’t be afford premium Audio streaming services. and it is not so consistent. I see in Instagram the audio so much lound and clear but not in Spotify or other music platform.

santanu_duttag coming to camera, what really matters is the hardware and IMX 890 is an amazing one. If stock cam isn’t giving expected results, get Gcam and a good config. You’ll see miracles happen

I will say a different thing for design. Please make corner of the phone more rounder like iPhones, that design change will give to nothing more aesthetic look than other androids. Also smaller bezels will be great. Samsung already try to make their corner more rounder and bezels thinner. Menu design of nothing is the best in current market but i can not say same thing to phone design. If nothing will do that changes, that make a difference around Android side. In addition, Triple camera setup with new a glyph design will be outstanding for nothing 3. Snapdragon 8 gen 3 must be in it. I think that will be a good, sd gen 3 in nothing 3 with the new Triple camera. That will be a masterpiece i think. These are my thoughts. Thank you.

this phone is about UI/UX specially speed and themes, when speed starts slowing down generally after few months of purchasing it started to make me feel guilty buying this phone. in that price level. so i’m selling and waiting for NP3 that is supposed to be cheaper with consistent performance for atleast 3-5 years.

I would like much harder screen and back glass.

Unscrachable shell would keep the biggest feature of nothing - design/look - protected. And it would lead to next premium level.

Glass hardness at least comparable to iPhones or even beyond is a must for me.

Better camera -at least top ten in dxomark. I know phone cameras can’t top actual cameras but it’s real fun.

Nothing phone 2 cameras are worse than pixel 7a

Things i would love to see on Phone (3):

Telephoto lens (at least 2.5x/3x optical zoom)
A newer bigger main sensor
Some more native camera features (like Astrophotography)
5.000/5.200mAh battery
60W/65W charge
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
Please maintain 1080p display resolution (more resolution is unnecessary and brings battery drain)

I think that would be enough for a new gen while maintaining a nice price 🙂

GenRoseman you want some camera that pops out the top ? That will look ugly 😭 under screen cameras not good enough yet to be put into smartphones especially at this price range
