Anticipating the release of the Nothing Phone 3, my expectations center around a dual model launch, comprising the Phone 3 and the Phone 3 Pro. The latter boasts a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, while the former is equipped with the Gen 2 processor.
Examining the Phone 3 Pro in detail, it features a 6.7-inch LTPO 120 Hz 1080FHD+ E7 Amoled display with an in-display optical fingerprint sensor (ideally positioned slightly higher), showcasing minimal symmetrical bezels akin to the iPhone 15 series. The performance is driven by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and it debuts with Android 14, complemented by Nothing OS 3, ensuring a promised 5-year commitment to OS and Security Patch updates. The camera setup includes a 32MP selfie camera with autofocus and the option for 4k 60 fps video recording, complete with OIS and EIS. The rear camera system comprises a 50MP main camera with OIS and EIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with OIS and EIS, and a 12MP (5x) zoom lens, featuring an advanced camera algorithm for optimal photo and video results. The design, yet to be revealed by the Nothing team, is expected to be innovative.
Additional features encompass DDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage for enhanced performance, USB-3.2 connectivity for seamless data transfer, and compatibility with all 5G bands for a comprehensive and future-proof connectivity experience. The device also boasts a rapid 65W charging speed, efficient 15W wireless charging, and convenient 10W reverse charging capabilities. The speaker system delivers excellent bass and sound quality, complemented by enhanced haptics, improved hardware, and a substantial 5000mAh Lithium-ion battery.
