Triple camera setup in diagonal arrangement with 25x optical zoom
Dolby Atmos and vision.

No suggestion on software side cos they will not disappoint.

My suggestions for the Nothing Phone (3) should be:

A 6.6 inch, 120hz, 1 Bn, LTPO OLED, slim symmetrical bezeled phone with nothing design language.
A fairly powerful and cost effective SD or Dimenity Chip(SD 8gen 2, SD 7gen 3, Dimensity 9000, 8000 series).
Faster UFS 3.1 or UFS4.0 Storage, with USB C 3.1
An IP67 water resistance.
A set of 3 cameras(Telephoto, Normal and Ultrawide).
A 5000 mAH Battery.
A balanced Dual Speaker system with a bit more bass and/or treble.
A fully fledged software to enable best user experience with up to 4yrs OS support and 5yrs Security.
More naturally positioned Fingerprint sensor, towards mid bottom half of phone
Price range of £350-£500

Hello everyone,

I honestly don’t even know how to start this post. Recently rumors started circulating about the release/presentation of Nothing 2a. Leaving aside the technical hardware aspect which in my opinion is a massive downgrade, I sit and wonder if this open topic/forum on this page makes sense. What proposals and hardware/software requirements are requested by potential buyers and what is to be delivered…? If after all the text written here, (maybe very few posts in the Nothing team’s opinion) the only practical measure is to send a 6.7 inch ‘brick’ to the market with a processor almost identical to the NP1 and 128Gb storage option, honestly the company deserves her fate. Maybe only a penalty in production costs and low sales from the market will wake it up. The history of Samsung with the new S23FE which has an extremely inferior processor compared to the flagship versions but a higher price than those versions and Pixel with versions 6a (which I personally returned after 3 days), 7a which barely reached 90hz framerate display, etc., there are no lessons to be learned… what more can we ask for. Think that you NP team have not yet passed the reliability and support test of the products in comparison with established brands. If this rumor about the NP2a materializes, then you won’t be any different from Apple, Pixel and Samsung who are known to deliver hardware upgrades with a pharmacy dropper and price upgrades with a supermarket basket. However, in terms of software/firmware support, it delivers what it promises, Pixel - 7 years, Samsung - 5 years, etc. Regardless of what decisions will be made for the future of new products, I tend to think that the discussions on this page have no echo in the minds of the project teams N.P. However, I was and remain delighted with the majority of colleagues who wrote and posted on this page, you are the best. I wish success to this brand, to the new products, I will follow the posts on the page, but my expectations for the new NP3 and what it wanted to be, I think it ends here. I think nothing phones are one of most sophisticated phones ever.

For my opinions on next phone from nothing. I will say you have to start making 2 models of phones. One with the number series (Making it midrange king). Another, pro series ( Making it a flagship killer just like OnePlus.

Must have specs in nothing phone 3 pro should be :

120hz 2.5k Ltpo display with atleast 1500 peak brightness.
IMPROVED Triple camera setup with telephoto lens. (Focus point)
Flagship level processor 8 gen 3 maybe.
6.1 to 6.4 inch screen.
4 years os updates atleast .
Low price like oneplus.
IP67 rating atleast

That’s all you need to beat all those competitors in the market especially oneplus.

I hope that they increase the fast charging to 80w or atleast 65w, it’s nice knowing that when you only have 10 minutes to charge your phone, you can charge it up quite alot in that short period, I feel like it’s a good selling point, would defo buy one if it had super fast charging(coming from an oppo X5 find pro)..anyone else feel the same?

rishabhrajrana That makes no sense, I mean if your focus is on specs, and not on nothing software, or nothing design philosophy/not standard design, even if your focus is on price, then why do you want to buy a nothing phone(3), I mean at least thats what I expect. If you have wishes about a phone you want to buy that phone, but with your wishlist, shouldn’t you buy a Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, Google Pixel, OPPO, Honor or something like that. Please explain your logic, because in my brain it absolutly makes no sense.Because your wish list seems like a typical samsung + model / Google Pixel. You by yourself said iPhone/ Google Pixel and not nothing phone.Pleeeaase think about your post, and if it really makes sense explain why.

A screen with QHD+ resolution
Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers (you might want to work with companies like JBL or AKG)
Making software and updates more friendly to users with root privileges (there is a sizable group of people who take advantage of this, and it would be nice on Nothing’s part to allow them full support for OTA updates)
Better haptic vibration (such as on the Google Pixel or iPhone)
Perhaps a slot for a MicroSD card for those who appreciate the extra storage space (e.g., for extra backup of their data)
Creating a smaller version of the Nothing Phone (e.g., Nothing Phone 3 Mini), as the market lacks a worthy, handy alternative in the form of a small smartphone like the former Sony Z1 Compact (127.00 × 64.90 × 9.50 mm).

Venkrish If I could have even just one improvement implemented in the NP3 it would be to have a smaller screen option. I’m not talking iPhone mini size, just a regular size phone like a standard Galaxy, Pixel or iPhone (around 6“). In a world where consumers are constantly pressured to buy gigantic phones that don’t fit in a jeans pocket, are hard to use one handed and are basically like carrying around a tombstone, size options are essential. This is why all the industry leaders do it.. BUT pleeeeeease don’t do that thing where the specs are dumbed down for the smaller variant. That aside it can mimic the NP2 in every other way for all I care.

I have one, it’s nice but that’s not a cheap phone. (it’s also thinner than nothing 2 and good premium feel to it when you hold it). At some point the design decision will have to be cost. They have to make a decent profit to support R&D. Brands like Xiaomi/Oppo etc have huge sales so they are able to get really good quality phones at $800 or less. They make up the R&D in volume but they’re also very boring (sure top end specs but nothing extraordinary in the design).
