loratpenatxx It does not matter, i had purchased their expensive 65 watt cmf charger, hoping it would charge the phone at 50 watts, but the phone only charges at max 26 27 watts….so even if u buy 45 watt it will charge only at 24 25 watt>>>>use samsung 25 watt gan charger…it also charges the phone at almost same rate!

If you want your motherboard to last long and not face any electronic issues better go for official charger than any local company charger.

NikolaPekov it does matter if you use a crappy charger like those really cheap and fragile knockouts. As long as you use a quality charger from Anker, Samsung, Google, Xiaomi or similar paired with a quality cable, you won’t have problems. Avoiding the many fake CMF or Nothing chargers found in Amazon and other online retailers can save you lots of trouble.

Preferably opting for a PPS compliant charger can be a good idea if you want to charge your phone quickly. Many people think that a 100W charger is faster than a 25W unit but that is not guaranteed if the 100W charger doesn’t support your phone’s charging standard. Be aware of the specs and make an informed purchase.

That’s all well and good, but what are the standards? That was OP’s question and I’m interested as well, although for the regular 2a. My older samsung charger just made the phone tell me that it wasn’t charged as quickly as possible.

jldiez2000 Nothing CMF 65watts chargers u can use it but it’s all depends on how much your phone will capable of taking it. For example nothing 2a can support upto 45 Watts of speed charging hence it will take 45 Watts even though your adaptor charger has 65 Watts.

Ille the Nothing Phone 2a supports PD (Power Delivery) 3.0 and PPS (Programmable Power Supply) charging standards. You should preferably search for chargers that support both standards.

It will deny warranty if they sell the phone complete with the corresponding charger. Since they don’t provide a charger, they should have made sure that any certified charger will charge. For 2 years now, I’ve been charging it all night with a smart socket with built-in 2 A usb ports in it. I don’t even use a typical charger.

Samsung 25w fast charger works very good with phone 2a.

My Nothing Phone 2a Plus does not charge at full power with the Xiaomi 67w 2ca1 power supply, AccuBattery shows 8 - 10 watts. Is it necessary to have an original Nothing power supply for fast charging?
