Shouldn’t the scores be higher than the phone (2)?
Phone(3) appears on Geekbench

sean (1) well that’s what I expected too but since they decide for a 7s gen 3, the scores make sense: Phone(2) uses 8+ gen 1 which is in a whole different class of processors.
Furthermore, searching A059 on Geekbench gives two results, the first one in the original post and the second one is this:
SOURCE: https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/9057393
As you can see this second result shows higher scores but still under performing with respect to Phone(2).
Now i value my PHONE (2) more after seeing 7s gen 3 in phone 3
Phone 2 8 + GEN 1 Rocks

But who says that its phone 3, maybe they want to launch phone 3a before the phone 3 that maybe will be released in summer at the end.
And in the other side this processor can help to hold the prices low compare to other flagships.
Why would they go with a weaker processor than the 8+gen1 for the successor?
AkhilSKumar becouse 8+gen1 eats much more battery.
probably new CMF low cost phone of nothing with this benchmark

Fr4nKB For reference, these are the scores from previous models:
Phone(1): single 1008, multi 2853
Phone(2a): single 1098, multi 2491
Phone(2): single 1638, multi 4222
Thanks for sharing these comparisons!
Any chance Phone (2a) Plus could be added? - I found the following:
Single = 1200 + Multi = 2648
Or A059 could be Phone (3a) and A059P could be Phone (3). (If they are released around March next year, that would be a year after 2a was released.)

whaat . whats with this snapdragon 7s series… really!
well idc
My take on this is that it might not even be Phone(3): the model code A059 is smaller than Phone(1) and Phone(2)'s model codes (A063 and A065 respectively). Furthermore, this SoC is dedicated to the midrange market, so it’s definitely not a flagship.
Although, Nothing has a history of bad naming schemes (e.g. Ear(2) -> Ear) so who knows.

I expect Nothing will continue using Mediatek for their CMF range because they are cheaper chipsets than Qualcomm’s.
Only phones (1) & (2) used Snapdragon chipsets, so I reckon this 7 series phone is the phone (3) Vanilla, and there may be a (3) Plus/Pro with an 8 series chipset.
sean (1) maybe the phone 3 is the phone 1 successor and the phone 3 plus/pro is the phone 2 successor.
How does that work? Is phone (2) not the successor to (1)?
Theyre fooling us with a false benchmark
7s Gen 3 seriously
Is Nothing is certain yet, it’s all speculation, and yet some people are expressing stress or frustration. Let’s wait until it’s certain.
