Fr4nKB For reference, these are the scores from previous models:

Phone(1): single 1008, multi 2853
Phone(2a): single 1098, multi 2491
Phone(2): single 1638, multi 4222

Thanks for sharing these comparisons!

Any chance Phone (2a) Plus could be added? - I found the following:

Single = 1200 + Multi = 2648

Or A059 could be Phone (3a) and A059P could be Phone (3). (If they are released around March next year, that would be a year after 2a was released.)

whaat . whats with this snapdragon 7s series
 really! đŸ€Ł
    well idc đŸ€·

My take on this is that it might not even be Phone(3): the model code A059 is smaller than Phone(1) and Phone(2)'s model codes (A063 and A065 respectively). Furthermore, this SoC is dedicated to the midrange market, so it’s definitely not a flagship.

Although, Nothing has a history of bad naming schemes (e.g. Ear(2) -> Ear) so who knows.

I expect Nothing will continue using Mediatek for their CMF range because they are cheaper chipsets than Qualcomm’s.

Only phones (1) & (2) used Snapdragon chipsets, so I reckon this 7 series phone is the phone (3) Vanilla, and there may be a (3) Plus/Pro with an 8 series chipset.

Fr4nKB 7s gen 3 is already an outdated chip i don’t think nothing will use it for their flagship phone coming next year.

Is Nothing is certain yet, it’s all speculation, and yet some people are expressing stress or frustration. Let’s wait until it’s certain.

OMG! Phones with Snapdragon 8 Elite are already available in the market. I hope the NP 3 will feature the 8 Elite.

sean (1) this might be just the rough predictions. The final geekbench scores might change. What is geekbench ? Its just the technicality scores of the phone performance. If We as humans are loving it then anything else even geekbench scores shouldn’t be in picture. But again as for me this would be just an average score of an overall product performance. Every unit of a specific product acts depends on users usage as ever users usage might not be same compared to others. Hence the geekbench scores should not be the end result.

Although this might be fake it wouldn’t be shocking if nothing does go with 7s gen 3. Cause nothing was putting out from the start “it’s not about the specs it’s about the user experience”

JGeorge yes but if it good for AI like in the oneplus nord 4, i do’t see here problem only if you searching for a gaming phone.

My theory is that this is either 3a or a base model 3 just as an introduction to the series for those who are more budget oriented or don’t care about specs ($<499) and then a Pro or Plus model will launch alongside it for those who want a great flagship contender which will ship with “Pro” features as Carl mentioned in Spaces live on X one time such as a triple camera setup as well as a larger battery and faster charging than the 2A Plus, on top of slimmer bezels and a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 to compete with the competition rather than the 8s Gen 3. They would be able to get great battery life as well if they utilized the full potential of both chipsets.

vovan-v I was just surprised they are using a weaker chipset than the Phone (2). The better the chip, the better the AI processing will be. The 8+ Gen 1 has the 7th Gen AI engine, whereas the 7s Gen 3 has the 6th Gen AI engine

JGeorge it makes no sense so I bet it won’t be the case. Even NP2 had last gen flagship chip when it came out. Hopefully NP3 will have current gen flagship SD chip or at least last gen. This could just be Nothing testing the waters to see if there will be outrage because of speculated weak chip 😂
