I too am facing memory management issue when switching among basic apps like Amazon, ICICI Mobile, Brave Browser, Paytm.

India version 8GB RAM.

Please try to fix it in upcoming release, it’s really annoying and hampering Nothing goals to provide best class user experience.

Thank you

TarunKumarK yes, its really annoying and not able to perform multitasking. Can’t even handle an Instagram app which gets refreshed within less than 5 mins and for games like bgmi and clash of clans apps get refreshed less than a minute.

Hello Team,

It is high time to acknowledge the issue, bad user experience. Please provide fix in upcoming release.

RitvikRungta

The RAM Management in Nothing OS 2.5 is terrible to the point where I regret buying this phone. Media Apps get closed while music is being played. This doesn’t happen on phones having 2GB 3GB RAM man. This is just so so so frustrating and terrible I can’t even explain.

Mr Steel 🦾

Haven’t experienced anything like this at all, I’m also running 2.5 Beta 2.

Remi F

RitvikRungta yes RAM management is not very good especially while using games. Play a game, jump onto another app to respond and come back to the game. The game restart…. This shouldn’t happen with 12 gigs of RAM to be honest. Hopefully they will fix it

If apps closing is a concern, probably you have to change your app battery usage. Maybe you can set your games to “unrestricted”.

So far no issues on my NP2 with 12GB ram as well.

sudarshanamaresan

Glenn Gonzalo G I’ve 8gb version of NP2 and I tried this still no luck. It can’t even handle rpg games like clash of clans. The app gets refreshed less than a minute. This not only happens in the beta version, it happens on stable version too and most of the users are experiencing this issue. This definitely needs to be addressed.

I listen to music for many hours at a time, well usually all day and no crashes.

No app on my Nothing Phone 2 has ever crashed.

Everything is incredibley fast and smooth opening.

RitvikRungta it’s a BETA version I think you don’t know that it may contain bugs, wait for the final version and then complain

PSYCHO

RitvikRungta It’s especially disheartening when promises of innovation and uniqueness don’t align with the reality of the product’s performance.

Expressing these frustrations is valid, but it’s essential to maintain a constructive tone to ensure your message is heard effectively. Let’s hope that the developers prioritize addressing these issues in future software updates to improve the overall user experience.

The ram management is quite poor I hope it gets better with updates

I hope the team is looking on this issue

Nothing phone 2 (8gb/128 gb)

SrsThewrongguy

Same here ☝️

Pulkit Agrawal The ram management doesn’t have anything to do with the smoothening on your face on video call. It’s more a rendering problem I guess.
