This thread is created to request Nothing Team to enhance the haptic feedback on the Nothing Phone 2, thus improving the overall user experience.

The haptic motor utilized in the Nothing Phone 2 is of excellent quality. However, it’s imperative to enhance the software implementation for a more refined user experience.

The Nothing Phone 2 should incorporate haptic feedback in various aspects of the UI, including but not limited to:

Scrolling left and right in the recent panel.
Tapping Quick Setting panel icons.
Interacting with lockscreen icons.
Opening and closing the app drawer in the launcher.
Implementing haptic feedback within the camera app, akin to Pixel phones.
Providing haptic responses for call connect and disconnect actions.
Enhancing the haptic experience in the recorder app.

We kindly request all users to suggest additional areas where haptic improvements could be beneficial. Also don’t forget to like & follow this thread so that Nothing Team recognises our request.

Our sincere request to Nothing Team is to focus on these enhancements and make the Nothing Phone 2's user experience even more exceptional.

To ensure your feedback gets to the correct teams at Nothing, you must share your thoughts and findings by visiting: Settings > System > Feedback

Issues shared via a discussion on nothing.community are unlikely to be seen by the relevant teams in good time. Discussions can still be used to validate/confirm bugs are repeatable, but feedback should still be submitted as requested above.

The Software level implementation of haptic feedback in Nothing OS is very mediocre…Coming from an OnePlus Nord 2…Each and every action had a nice haptic feedback which is missing in the Nothing phone 2…Nothing phone (2) has excellent hardware crippled by software

HarshitGautam it’s the early days, it’s normal to miss some feature or having some bugs.

If you have a request / bug that is important, please report it into settings > system > feedbacks and provide as much info as possible. It’s their main way to communicate with us with reports 😉

I think nothing phone 2 has used a very good vibration motor but haptics are not implemented properly. Need proper and better haptics integration in phone 2

Option to set the Vibration sterngth, to increase Vibration for calls and notifications.

Yes there should be option to increase the intensity of the vibration, currently it is very low

The Nothing phone is brilliant except for two things (camera)… the haptics are really not good right now. They were too strong at the launch of the Nothing Phone 2. Then the update came and they can’t even be felt now. There should really be a way to adjust the intensity… that would be brilliant!

Is there any way to adjust the haptic feedback? It can be felt when typing only when switching between screens, i.e. swipe back.

The haptic feedback on Phone (2) is nonexistent. Kindly add an option to adjust the feedback intensity in settings menu. It’s the only reason I’m not liking the Phone (2). The Motorola edge 40 offers better feedback than Phone (2) although it has worse motor than the Phone (2) and it costs 13K inr less than the Phone (2). Kindly fix this issue with the next update. I’ve posted the same thing time and again, even on twitter and twice here in the community. Kindly keep me updated.

iYuvrajMehta Weird because haptic feedback is actually one of the main thing that people love about phone 2, feels very premium compared to all the rest.

Remi F It’s soft to the extent that its nonexistent. It should be strong, but the motor makes noise, and some users don’t like it. That’s why I suggested to give an option for adjusting the intensity just like the pixels and other OEMs.
Now don’t say I can’t compare it to pixel because I’m not. Just giving a reference here.

Remi F Have you used other OEM phones before? It feels like the NP is your first phone so far. It’s June 18, 2024, and there’s still no improvement in the haptics. Whether I’m in a noisy place with sound mode on or in a very quiet workplace with vibrate mode on, I can’t even feel my phone calls in my pocket or on my desk.
