Hi All,

I need your help, I have a phone 2 and facing problem with android auto.

As suggested I am using the nothing cable, I have turned on usb debugging. the car is connected using blutooth and usb both but fail to start android auto. I am attaching the error that I receive on the car infotainment system.

Hello - I recently shifted from a realme phone to the Nothing Phone (2). The car I use is a Kia Sonet and the features were working perfectly fine with the realme phone. 

From when I shifted to the Nothing phone, normal phone calls stopped working on Android Auto. I can see the details of the call on the Infotainment system - but neither am I able to hear the person, nor is the person I’m calling able to hear me. But if I make the call on Whatsapp, the call gets connected with the speakers and everything works as expected. Things like Spotify, Maps, etc. all work just fine.

Happy to share any other details required for this - but would really appreciate if we can get a solution on this. Very frustrating to not take calls on phone while driving. Working fine with Apple, Samsung, Oneplus, Oppo. Please help

Same Issue with phone 2 my car Skoda Kushaq Android auto fail to connect it’s showing some massage “CAPE QRD SN258FAD77” failed

      vpS Can you also check what version of Nothing OS is currently installed?

        vpS I have the same problem with the same error. Phone: OS 2.0.4, Car: Skoda Kamiq (2022). Previously worked ok with OG Oneplus Nord (Android 12). Tried everything that Nothing support suggested, but without any success. Hope that OS 2.5 will fix this problem.

          I have the same issue with Dacia Duster MediaNav. It connects fine via Bluetooth but Android Auto creates a new entity almost, see attached pic.

          I have the same issue with my Skoda Fabia. Connects to bluetooth as nothing phone (2) but in android it’s CAPE-QRD….

          I am also having a similar issue. Android Auto will connect and then quickly disconnect. I can go into the USB connection settings and change it to something else to force the car and phone to detect it again. The issue is that the phone cannot send any audio, like music or podcasts to the card. This is true for both my phone and my SO’s phone. We both have Phone(2)'s and both started encountering the issue recently. Hoping that when we get the Android 14 update that it fixes these issues.

          I tried reporting the issue through the phone, but it is all an issue with the car’s UI and nothing really shows on the phone’s side. Any suggestions on how to report this?

          I tried to connect my phone 2 to Android auto, but there is an error, and it says that my phone 2 is not supported with Android auto feature.

          I am driving a VW Polo, and it uses cable to connect to Android auto.

          Same problem here with Skoda Superb.

          I had no issues with Android Auto with all other Android phones that I possessed. Nothing phone is the first case where the car system doesn’t recognize the connected phone.

          Please fix this issue!

          Hello all i found a solution that works with my Opel Corsa.

          First in the android auto app on your phone go to recently connecter cars and remove you car from that list.

          After that my car would connect again.

          Then in the setting of android auto on your screen go to start android auto automatically and switch the option to always.

          This worked for my car so i hope it does for you guys too

          Now tried with latest update of NOS 2.5.1 - no success. Same problem, same CAPE-QRD… error. Maybe there is some ETA when the fix could be done or it’s already in progress? Or probably there will not be fix on this? Asking as don’t want to rush on buying AAWireless or similar solutions.

          Really hope that Nothing team will find that unlucky part of code that causes this problem.
