Worked amazingly last night and this morning. Then when I came back to the car after work….nothing, even after 30 mins troubleshooting. Drove home tethered to my Phone 1 and then 30 min drive later, parked at home and tried again and it started working instantly….🤷

I’d rather they fixed it though

Facing same issues with Skoda slavia. Not able to connect

My car does not have wireless android auto connect. I tried with usb cable provided by nothing. No luck.

Nothing team should resolve this issue ASAP. It’s deal breaker. I wonder no one mentioned this issue in youtube reviews.

I am facing the same problem with Opel Corsa Electric (2024). There is a temporal solution: connecting via wire and restoring to factory settings on the car’s multimedia system. However, this may cause your keyboard to be minimized and annoy you even after you cut your connection with the multimedia device.

Hello, after the update my Nothing Phone 2 still does not work with Android Auto. Through Bluetooth I can make calls and listen to music (this already worked before without the update). Has it worked for anyone?

Still not working after todays update to version 2.5.3.. I am trying to use with original Type-C to Type-C cable connected to Skoda Kamiq 2020 or Skoda Octavia 4.

Tried all of the possible recommendations from forums and manufacturer website.
Other brand phones work OK with said cars.
I really hope for quick fix.

Yes, I also keep experiencing the same problem after NOS 2.5.3 update

Interesting Update: After asking Support about fixing/Development progress on this, they are now asking for IMEIs and Device Purchase info

Good Update:

I’m trying to connect to Skoda Scala 2019. I have the same issue like others above. Until now I tried:

    • Clean cache/reinstalling Android Auto on the phone.
    • Connecting with original cable and with baesus cable
    • Using Programming option - USB Debugging turned on and with turned off.

And it always breaking the connection between the car and the phone after couple seconds. Phone is always displayed as CAPE-QRD with random numbers. Earlier I was connecting with same car using Nothing Phone (1) and everything was working like a charm.
So I am also keeping fingers crossed for fixing this issue by Nothing Team. Can’t wait for the patch. Good Luck!

Same problem here my Skoda Scala (MY 5/2019) does not work. It identifies the phone as Nothing A065 and says the connection failed. The phone gets a popup prompting me to switch a cable and/or the USB port because the phone keeps on getting disconnected. Neither switching a cable or the second USB port in the car does not solve the issue. My previous OnePlus 9 Pro worked just fine so it’s gotta be an issue on the side of Nothing. I’m running the latest NOS 2.5.3 but hopefully as EM (1) mentioned it will be fixed in the next scheduled update. I guess it’s a phone holder time like it’s 2010 until it gets solved because I don’t want to switch to any other phone 😅.

    Good news: Update 2.5.5 received
Bad news: Android Auto is still not available (same CAPE-QRD … error) + now seems Android Auto didn’t started on the phone as AA notification is not available

I am not even mad, I am sad

Android auto not working is a serious problem for me. I think I will return the phone to Amazon

    Hi everyone!

This might be useful for the developers 🤔

I’ve encountered the same issue with my phone and android auto (capeqrd…), and I’ve attempted various solutions to resolve it (testing with different cars, cables, troubleshooting steps…).

About a month ago, I rented a car equipped with a standard USB input, and when I used a simple USB to USB-C cable, the connection worked flawlessly.

Hopefully, this information can assist in identifying the root cause of the problem, particularly why it functions correctly with a standard USB connection but not with a USB-C to USB-C connection.

Facing the same issue. Anyone have idea when it will be resolved? Thinking of selling the phone.

vpS I’m seeing the same issue with my nothing phone 2 when connecting with android auto in my skoda kushaq. It worked perfectly fine with my oneplus 9 5g. But giving a hard time with nothing phone 2. Used the original nothing type c cable, didn’t work, tried other cables, didn’t work. This is getting really annoying to not being able to access android auto. Please let me know if you found a way it works.

I consider returning the phone, AA for me is ‘must have’, I’m very disappointed. In thread about NP2a someone told, that their problem will be fixed in next OTA. Sadly Nothing forgot about NP2

Sadly, i have bought a Nothing Phone 2, sadly, because I am very disappointed about the quality of the developers that make nothing OS, they are still unable to fix a simple bug like AndroidAuto, i am having NO 2.5.5 and android 14.

    Hi all.

Nothing phone 2, with a seat leon, same issue.

    Usb c - USB c

Is amazing to see that we have a bug here for a year and no official solution has come. For some.people this is a must if you have an Android auto vehicle, and bring forced tu use the phone instead of the integrated car screen is not acceptable

Hope to see the same good news as for 2(a) and use AA this summer. Fingers crossed for the next OS update

It was a bit disapointing to read this conversation. I bought my Nothing Phone 2 a week ago. Now I can use Android auto without issue, but my issue is calling via infortainment system home screen.

I suppose that maybe the root cause is that I have dual SIM. Then system did not know the correct SIM card, and it will ask it when I try to find that current call from Anroid auto screen. Even I choose there what SIM I like to use to that call, the car voice did not give me that normal calling sound.

When I will begin that call direct from phone screen the call will connect and voice works as it should.

But this is quite annoying issue and could affect my choise to buy this, if I known this issue before. I thought that still I can return my phone, if I cannot find the solution.
