PSYCHO yes, I’m having the same issue, screen on time is very low after all these updates nearly 4.5 hrs. And I’m having problems with call connectivity too. It is me only?

[deleted] I don’t think anything happens between yesterday and today.

I got the update 2.5.3 update few mins ago.

It also didn’t fixed the issue.

I know this completely unrelated but I had an MI phone back in the days and it did the same thing but when I removed the lamination (protection layer of plastic) from the back along with the silicon case, The temps wildly dropped!

I also think the display is somewhat of a culprit of this problem since most of the users use less than 50% brightness and LTPO keeps clocking a 120hz refresh rate which messes up battery!

Google services too contribute to this issue!

I’ve never had any overheating issues with phone 2. maybe you are located somewhere in the world that has a very warm temperature possibly?

I have been using the Nothing Phone 2 for a duration of 8 months. Recently, I have observed overheating issues with the device, with temperatures reaching up to 49 degrees Celsius. Upon consulting the service center, they appear to be uncertain regarding the appropriate course of action to address this matter.🙁

VaishnavKSuresh Yes, the same in phone 1. After running the program or game, 2 minutes later, the phone cannot be held because of the heat. Please solve the problem. This is a big problem.

Mr_SuryaTeja bro there are 2 chances 1. Some apps are running in background 2. Some os problem or there should be problem with your unit if you have warranty you should contact nothing

After the January Security Patch update(2.5.2) the device began to heat alot even with wifi usage. The thermals and battery management was very poor. After updating to April patch (2.5.3) the story is still the same, thermals are really messed up, performance of the device has been reduced, sometimes there is a slight QS stutter, idle drain has been increased. If this condition is never ending then we users will need to change the batteries before 1 year of usage. Earlier i used to get 9 -10 hr SOT. Now it got reduced to 6-7 hr.

I using Nothing 2 for last 8 months never faced any issues. But the recent security update the phone is like a heating machine. Even for using 10 mins the phone is heating like hell.

Unable to use the phone for past a week.

@team Nothing, please rollback the last update or provide the OTA at earliest

Guys do the needful, the device Always goes up above 37°C. Device is always warm and hot. Even with 5 to 10min usage on WiFi the heat increases, it only cools down when powered off. If this issue continues I’m 100% sure that the battery will degrade much faster. Earlier the device only heats up doing editing, photography or gaming, but not even with a lil bit surfing it starts to heat and we can feel the heat increase. As a result of this the battery backup is really bad, we can see the charge decreases each 2 to 3 minutes.

So team please resolve this.
