Please add automatic display refresh adjustment. Now it is only 60 and 120 hz, and there is no adaptive.

I hope this message finds you well.

I am a user of Nothing Phone 1 and have been exploring Nothing OS 3.0. While I appreciate the unique design philosophy and thoughtful features of the OS, I wanted to share some feedback regarding certain bugs and potential improvements that could enhance the user experience.

Bugs Noticed

1. Fingerprint Scanner:

The fingerprint scanner does not work consistently. At times, it takes longer than usual to respond, does not respond at all, or responds with a delay.

2. Bluetooth Battery Status:

While Bluetooth functionality is stable, the battery percentage for connected earbuds does not display accurately. This persists even when the earbuds are fully charged.

3. Haptics with Gboard:

Haptics feedback feels inconsistent, especially while using Gboard. The issue detracts from the otherwise premium tactile experience of the phone.

Suggestions for Improvements

1. Red Highlight for Active Tiles:

Adding a red color highlight to active tiles in the notification/quick settings area would make the interface more distinct and visually intuitive.

2. Increased Quick Setting Tiles:

The current limit of 6–8 tiles in the notification area is restrictive. Allowing more tiles to be visible at once would improve usability, particularly for users of larger phones like the Nothing Phone 2.

3. Nothing Gallery Enhancements:

In the Gallery app, folders currently display only their names. Adding a thumbnail preview of the folder’s content (e.g., the first photo or video) would make navigation more intuitive and visually engaging.

I believe these changes and fixes could significantly improve the overall experience with Nothing OS 3.0. Thank you for continuously striving to deliver a unique and polished smartphone experience.

    SaschaMelzer okay after apparently no one answers here. You always have to press left in the selection icons that you can drag down from the status bar at the top, this works immediately.

      Since the release of the 3.0 beta on NP1 I didn’t faced any major issues except the UI not working on 120hz all the time, it kept on becoming sluggish like 60hz on its on specially in app drawer with smart drawer menu.

      Secondly yesterday evening i had my nothing ear one connected to my phone and it was in my pocket.

      It got shut down and restarted at its own.

      Since it was evening before that random restart it was dark mode on after the restart first it was light mode then it took sometime and automatically switched to dark mode.

      Just sharing the experiences.

      Not complaining since it’s a beta one.

      Rob ⚡️ haptic feedback on keyboard seems to not work proerly for any value below 55ms included. It only vibrates very very softly once every several key presses, otherwise doesn’t vibrate at all.

        The 120hz in animation is far from being consistent, maybe I’m being too picky with the last update of a 3 year old phone, but, if there’s an option to have the hz set to 120 and the native os animation are not prepared to reach those 120hz… Kinda frustating.

          Good day, 5 days after updating the phone, Google Play started to give an eternal wait when installing applications, then I tried to solve the problem by resetting the cache, but nothing worked and after that Google stopped seeing the applications that were downloaded through it, but the problem remained, I ask you to fix the problem and explain to me how to solve it

          Problems I’m facing after installing this beta!

          1. Phone got super slow like ram is collapsing or high refresh rate dropping to low refresh rate all the time
          2. Phone charges usually slower than usual
          3. Every single apps are loading too much
          4. Games are crashing and home menu straight after playing for 15/20 minutes
          5. Not getting all the apps update and google play is very slow at updating apps
          6. Camera quality got more trash than usual
          7. Some apps are not working properly like Spotify, Snapchat, Facebook
          8. Internet crashing or unable to connect most of the time whether I’m on data or wifi
          9. All the default and third party Apps are auto running on the background but in previous version (2.6), I restricted most apps and they don’t run on background.

          To the #devs #moderators , could y’all please look into this?

          I’ve already did several feedbacks. This is getting frustrating. I’m using Nothing Phone 1 since early 2022 and I had no complain whatsoever. Feeling like y’all trying to make this phone slow and kill this by new updates!!

            OviGarry It is a well fundamented opinion, I agree with all of it. I still have a bit of hope on the nothing dev team in term of optimization on the stable release. If not, the custom rom are on our side.

              I recently updated my phone 1 to the OS 3 Beta version. The Wi-Fi hotspot is not working. Although Hotspot is enabled, the network is not showing on other devices. Please provide a solution for the same.

                rhtkmr select 2.4Ghz option and extend compatibility option it will show to other devices
