When do stabel update comes for NP 1 or ,

Can we update to beta in that any data loss in after up date

Almost 20 hours with the beta I just wanted to point things about my experience:

In terms of performance, the point I was worried the most, coming from a ā€œnot so goodā€ experience form 2.6 version, this is great , more fluidity, snapiness, and smooth performance. Even though there’s some frame drops in certain scenarios like having scrolling down from social media like tiktok or Instagram and recieving email notification and scrolling the notification menu down to check It out. I don’t know if that was as clear as I wanted to explain, pardon my english.

That small scenario is a 10% of the cases of using it, the remaining 90% It is pretty good. No major bugs whatsoever gives a propper experience. All this toughts are with the idea to this being a beta version, hoping a little bit of tweaking to pollish those few ā€œerrorsā€.

With all that in mind, Thank you Nothing development group, and community also, I’m highly convinced that the 2 betas that were rolled out before for 2 and 2a were crucial to have this experience.

Battery still the same to me so that’s pretty nice also.

Camera, I expected a little bit of tweaking, from previous version, I’m reffering to an Android 12 or 13 version where the photo results where better, sharper. But, I’m giving the feedback necessary to make everyone know. In the camera aspect, wanted to point a really good improvement I’ve faced and It was the processing time the photo need to be completed. It was reduced by a lot and it was very sweet to have it, nice job.

To finish the message I just wanted to thank again the development team, the community and also the person who had the guts to read such a long text. Nothing is really trying so hard to give us an experience that really matches the company’s goal, minimalism, smoothness and quality.

I’m so hyped for the stable version whenever it’s comes.

I’ll keep posting my experience.

I really don’t like that i have to move my finger to the top left of the screen to turn options on and off cause most of the space is taken by text that opens settings when clicked. Just makes it little bit harder to use phone with single hand

Also, my vibration settings seem to be out of whack. They used to repeat the rhythm of the glyphs. Now there’s just a double vibration response.

In NothingOS 3.0 Open BETA 1 on Nothing Phone 1 there is a slowness in navigating between notifications in the shortcut bar and notifications, it looks as if the screen is in 60hz mode instead ofIn NothingOS 3.0 Open BETA 1 on Nothing Phone 1 there is a slowness in navigating between notifications in the shortcut bar and notifications, it looks as if the screen is in 60hz mode instead of 120hz

In Portuguese for Community PT-PT and PT-BR:

Na NothingOS 3.0 Open BETA 1 no Nothing Phone 1 a uma lentidão na navegação entre as notificações na barra de atalhos e notificações, fica uma aspecto como se a tela estivesse em modo 60hz ao invés dos 120hz.

Merged 1 post from Slowness in the shortcut bar when accessing notifications.

When I tried to pair some earphones I’ve noticed this visual bug that says ā€œnogliph ā€ in vertical. I dunno what produce it.

    1. Use negation bar up swap return to home screen often seen frame drops.
    2. Charge limiter is not working as expected. (See pictures attached)
    3. The first hour after update, often seen widgets drops off while my finger still holding the screen.
    4. Nothing gallery become a selectable cache app, can see a strange view like looking the lock screen while on the recent app page.
    5. Expected double click freeform (pop-up view) window to enlarge, but it needs to return by select it from the recent app page.

A day in so far, no any major bugs. Well done, team.

Can anyone tell about the battery and smoothness after the update. Should we update now or wait for the stable version??
