Open beta on Rooted phones

Just updated on my rooted Phone 1. Since I couldn’t find any post in this thread talking about rooted devices, here’s a short tutorial.

Edit: Get the updater from the official thread
Same procedures as with a regular rooted update;

Restore images (in magisk)
Install beta update (Settings > System > Beta update)
Important: When you get a popup asking to install update (Install/cancel) press cancel!
Install magisk to inactive slot
Finish install (Settings > System > Beta update > Install)
After that, just let the updater do it’s thing and you’ll reboot into NOS 3.0(beta)

Rooting is not something that is encouraged or supported here on the community platform. You will also not be able to find files or guides here.

For something like this I recommend heading over to other, more relevant forums such as XDA.

Ah, that’s fair, sorry about that. The rooting scene for NOTHING Phones is relatively active, because of how easy the process is. Understandable that it isn’t fully supported by the brand itself though, there’s plenty that can go wrong when rooting, or even when already rooted.
