  • Introducing our new CBO for 2025!


Thank you to everyone who took part in our Community Board Observer election for 2025. Whether you applied, voted or both, you’ve all contributed to what has been our biggest and best CBO election so far!

With over 1000 of you coming forward to vote, we are getting a sense of just how important this role has become to our community - it’s fantastic to see.

With that said, our newly elected Community Board Observer for 2025 is Adam, aka @adbo !

I hope you will all join us in congratulating Adam on his win! Here’s a statement from him after learning he’d been elected:

I’m honoured to be chosen as your 2025 CBO! Thank you to everyone for putting your trust and faith in me and for your votes. It really means a lot to me that I now get to be the voice and representation of the community I’ve been so closely involved with for many years.

The Community Board Observer role has been shaped by the hard work and dedication of our previous CBOs, and Rohit especially has set a high bar! Special thanks to him for inspiring me to apply for the role. Coming in with a fresh mind, I look forward to pushing the boundaries and finding new ways to elevate the CBO role further. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!

I look forward to seeing you around the community and speaking to you after the first quarterly board meeting in January. - Adam

Adam will start representing you all with immediate effect. His first Board meeting will be in January 2025 where he will review and present all of his observations from Q4 ‘24 to our Board.

You’ll be seeing and hearing a lot from Adam over the next year so please support him as he settles in as your representative within Nothing.

Finally, one last thank you and congratulations to both @Manuel R.R and @hrry for being our other 2 finalists, both racking up a significant amount of votes - you can see the final results of the election here.

    I’m really happy with the outcome! Congratulations to @adbo – he’s the right man for the job. There’s many great things about him, some of which has been shared over the duration of this voting week but, one thing about him that we will all benefit from is his deep involvement in this community which has spanned years, he’s served it with dedication and passion and embodies community spirit. If anyone deserves this role, it’s him. I know he’ll bring fresh ideas, and like Rohit, Louis, and Rob before him, he’ll ensure the community feels heard and supported. I can’t wait to see the value he brings, the ideas he delivers on and the way he shapes the CBO role - we are in for a treat. Congrats again, @adbo!

    I also want to shout out Manuel. He’s building an incredible community on X and has done so much for the Nothing & CMF By Nothing community more broadly, I’m excited to watch him grow. This won’t be the last time we see him in these elections – I’m certain of that. Manuel is carving out something special, celebrating the great work happening at Nothing, and I look forward to what’s next for him. Big up, Manuel!!

    To those who voted for me – thank you. I’m truly grateful that you voted for me especially when the two other candidates were so strong. I’ll continue amplifying the voice of this community, you’ll see me moderating,  helping wherever I can, and making sure our new CBO stays informed about what’s happening around these ends. Your trust means a lot, and I’ll keep doing my part.

    Big congratulations to @adbo 👏 We’ve known each other for a long time in the Community and I think alongside many others, look forward to seeing how you take the CBO role to the next level. As a longstanding member of the Community, it’s really pleasing to see this result, you’ve proven your dedication to Nothing and alongside the rest of the Mod team, keep everything in check.

    A huge congratulations to Adam @adbo on his well-deserved win! I’m sure you’ll do an amazing job representing us all and taking the CBO role to new heights. Also, a big shoutout to Harry @hrry for making it to the final stage—you’ve both set a great example for the community.

    Although I wasn’t elected this time, my dedication to this community remains as strong as ever. I’ll continue contributing and working hard to support everyone, just as I have throughout these years. Let’s keep building something amazing together!
