Just updated to nothing OS 3.0 stable version today and since then I have been noticing that my mobile data is automatically going off (it’s turned on only) when the phone is idle for a while and this results in notification delay and is frustrating

Hopefully a future update will fix this as it seems to be a common issue.

Yep I also am facing delayed notifications when screen is off. And this is on wifi. Disabled that sleep standby optimisation thing the first thing, but my Google Chrome notifications for certain websites that I’ve enabled never appear until I turn the screen on.
Boy oh boy is there anything this bloody device can do right!
SauravGhosh_YSyIGtH5QM Did you find any Solution for this?? Iam facing this in my mail and instagram application, the notifs from mail app delay by 2-3 mins and in instagram the messages pop up only when i open the app.
I still have this problem today, it happens to me with different applications. I have tried everything they have told me, including a factory reset.

After updating my Nothing Phone 2a to the latest version, I have noticed that I do not receive notifications from certain applications with the phone locked but when I unlock suddenly all the notifications appear.
Another thing I can also see is that during the night, which is when I charge the battery, I receive all the notifications without a problem.
I have tried everything even with a factory reset but everything is still the same. Do you know any solution? It is a cumbersome situation.
I have the same problem with notifications. I either receive them with delay or they pop up when i open the app.
I am also facing the same issue i.e delayed notification though I haven’t observed mobile data or wifi switching off automatically.
I understand that for now you haven’t found a solution, right?
Johan_3GA5jG48rI Hi. Sorry for late reply. Well the only solution, or rather a workaround for me is that I changed Google Chrome’s background usage to unrestricted from its default optimised setting. But obviously now the app keeps running on background until I check the notification. But at least the notifications are not delayed.

Flanagan Yes I get it. But maybe just try changing the background usage to unrestricted for one of the concerned apps and see whether notifications are instant? For me there’s no delay for WhatsApp, telegram, email (though this I need to check thoroughly to confirm) and those are the apps I use mostly.
Whatever, it’s beyond arguing that this bloody junk of a phone cannot even do the basics right.
SauravGhosh_YSyIGtH5QM With WhatsApp applications, Outlook works correctly for me, but with all the other applications installed it fails.

I revise what I said above regarding no delay with telegram. There is infact delay with telegram. Until I open the app the notifications are not coming on telegram.
I wish you the worst fate, nothing and carl pei and all other clowns involved.
I also felt notifications delay in instagram and whatsapp.

The more apps I install the more this problem is faced. Now facebook also doesn’t send you any notification until I open the app.
