Wifi issue in specific connections

Iam using nothing phone 2 for past 10 days and I have noticed that my phone is connecting with my wifi but the internet speed is too slow that it never cross...

I have seen multiple questions/posts already in the community on this topic from the members, starting from October 2023. But it is not resolved yet, not sure whether they are paying attention on this issue.

Facing slow internet speed issue with my Mobile “Nothing Phone-2” with my Wi-Fi router (there is no problem with the router) other mobile devices and laptops are getting good speed from same router. But my mobile never cross 1 mbps.

Hope this issue will be answered, it been 5 months since this issue was reported by a user in 2023.

Here’s a few things to try changing the radio channel on your router, you can also

Switch your frequency band on both router and handset. Once done reboot your phone and test speeds.

Recently I’ve seen that my nothing phone 2 is loading the YouTube and twitter posts very slowly i thought could be the issue with my Wifi but after checking on my other phone the speeds were normal on that and better , tried running speed tests several times, But the conclusion was the same my phone 2 is not giving good wifi speed and connectivity something is wrong, is anyone facing the same , Any one knowledgeable can help me out?

Anonymous disable dynamic RAM. Maybe that is the culprit.

Have you tried changing your WiFi data saving mode to unmetered ? give it a try in your network settings for your WiFi network you are on.you might have to change that setting multiple times if you use multiple networks .

(Update) It causes a bit of heat using unmetered WiFi just a heads up

I think it’s issue with the range maybe as when i am close to it it gives proper speeds,. But when i am far away it’s very low compared to my other phone. I will try what you said but i don’t think it will change anything. Thankyou for replying will try.

Anonymous no worries ! just wanted to help 😊 I find the WiFi range can be all over place on certain networks and I’ve seen a people talk about that often I hope nothing looks into it

MadOne You are talking about ram booster right ?.I never turned it on in the first place. And I don’t think ram booster is related to wifi😅. Thanks for the reply.

Anonymous if you are on 2.5.5 then RAM booster is set to 2GB by default. Try disabling to see if that helps.

Hi,

I have recently noticed that my wifi/ mobile internet speed is restricted and too slow. I have verified internet speed from other device. Its only getting low with nothing phone 2 device.

Tried to restart mobile, reset network etc but couldn’t work. Any help would be appreciated.

mitul198 bro disable data saver , ram booster if you are using your second sim slot change it to sim 1 hope this helps
