Even if the dynamic refresh rate option is enabled the phone stays on 120 and 90 not going below..Even the aod works on 120 which drains the battery a lot faster

Pranshu The Dynamic Refresh Rate will work battery efficient when your brightness is above 50% and that’s the issue.

Hey guys,

I am currently using “Pong-U2.5-240116-1446-IND” on my nothing phone 2. Recently I noticed that the refresh rate only goes to 90/120 in dynamic mode even in home screen. It doesn’t goes below 90. Is this a device specific issue

My phone 2 is stuck on 120 htz it’s not even changing when the screen brightness is in full it will change to 60 or 1 if the brightness is in low mode the it will be in 120.

I even tell to the team my bad i don’t have service centre near by me😓. Is everyone facing the issue?

I had enabled ‘Show refresh rate’ in developer option.

I have noticed that working of Dynamic Refresh Rate depends on Brightness of the display.

Dynamic refresh rate starts working at 56% of brightness with range of 10Hz, 90Hz and 120Hz and at peak brightness gets down to even 1Hz. At <56% brightness, the refresh rate is at constant 120Hz.

Is this an issue with the software or is this how Ltpo displays work?

How is the battery life extended if you need to have peak brightness for slow refresh rate? It seems redundant.

Any explanation?

LTPO displays usually become dynamic at higher brightness levels. Some even change the refresh rate only after reaching max brightness.

My phone 2 not showing me 1hz, it is showing upto 60hz. Is this bug or phone problem ?. Dynamic Refresh Rate is not working. Does this fix in Next update ?

I have nothing phone 2 and it has LTPO OLED display. But my refresh rate is not going below 90. Even tho I am not touching my phone, my refresh rate stays on 120 on homescreen

AarjavKumar bro it will vary from the brightness if you use in full brightness. It will go upto 1htz
