Coldpaw oh, my bad, I thought Nothing is different!

Atleast, please do not remove the option of installation of Nothing Gallery app from Play Store.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a very good app, I would say must have app. But personally I prefer using single app for these basic functions. Rather than using two three identical apps for same usage.

I’ll have to stick with the Google gallery for now.

Anyways, thanks for the reply!

    Its finally here….

So, start by commending the team for sticking to the published timelines!

I had a few issues with the Nothing OS that I flagged off through official channels when I bought the phone in March.

Out of those issues, the option to stop the battery charging at 80% was rolled out earlier.

This release takes care of the on demand AOD that allows me to use the AOD, but only when i want it.

But the issue of not being able to set up separate ringtones for the 2 SIMs is still missing. I am not sure why the developers cant get this right when its a very basic feature.

Its been a journey where I am over the honeymoon period with the attractions to the glyph interface fading off and me realizing that I don’t really use the feature. So then what is it that would make me buy another Nothing phone? I really cant see anything. With basic features like the one mentioned above still missing and the AOD still being b/w without much customization, I am starting to miss my earlier phone. Perhaps I am slowly gravitating to the earlier make/brand.

Nothing has made changes to its approach, by introducing an affordable 2a series. But even now without a bundled charger and case its an incomplete offering. Nothing has a distinct design identity but other than that what more to stand out?

There is a needs to have signature ringtones and wallpapers to identify the brand.

    I hope someone is reading!

Installed OS 3.0 public release today. Can’t help notice that 2 of the new lock screen clocks [Large Dots and Square Dots] have nothing to do with the OS aesthetics and look absolutely awful! These would be fine on a regular android but for something minimal like Nothing? Equally surprised how these made into a final build.

Hope Nothing stops adding design choices just for the sake of adding more options. We don’t need more.. we need consistency and heart in design. Which has been there so far up until now..

After updating my Nothing Phone (2) to the 3.0 OS update, the menu bar apps have reverted to their original icons. How can I reset them to the Nothing default icons?"

Why is private space is not available in nothing phone NOS 3.0..I think it’s best feature for all Android phones.

Is there any future updates to get private space.?

Merged 1 post from Private space isn't available????.

How long has this update been taking everyone? This is my second attempt where my Nothing 2 has been at the screen with 6 dots for multiple hours.

The update is great, but there stills need to be polished.

    • Quick settings toggle on/off is slow
    • Sound Quality is not that good compared to OS 2.6
    • The Beta AI Apps categories needs to be polished, add some manual edit options currently all are fix.
    • Dot Matrix Front for all the title in interface
    • Nothing Photo Gallery, set as default add edit features in the apps.
Merged 1 post from Nothing OS 3.0 Widgets.

AkobirNarzullayev which device you use? My Phone 2 overheats while playing efootball and starts dropping frames after crossing 40c. I am forced to play on standard graphics.

Unfortunately is still unavailable in Italy…😐

Hey there! Firstly thanks for releasing this update. I have successfully downloaded and installation and setup process was very smooth and quick in my phone 2a SE. My initial surprise was how smooth and extremely fast the slide animations, touch response was. If I compare with android 14 Nothing OS 2.6 UI Speed with This new Android 15 OS3 has significant faster responsiveness in UI. I am still exploring everything hidden in the settings and widgets area, the new lockscreen, new watch faces, and to my surprise again, am so glad you guys added the nothing community app inside the settings page now I can directly post it from my phone without going for external browser and do logins again and again - (please add a new user profile page with nothing style customizable options in later updates).

    1. I just started using camera in dull interiors and while trying to capture the TV screen the camera software somewhat unable to fix on tap to adjust exposure to the tv brightness where in previous OS 2.6 it automatically captured based on light sensitivity, for normal subjects its taking decent photo but I have not yet compared it with OS 2.6 photos to spot any major difference (I will edit this post once I find any).
    2. Widgets menu: Compared to OS2.6 widgets, I felt like some Widgets are missing from the menu but it was mentioned in the release notes that they are in this update but I couldn’t see any! (need some clarity).
    3. I just rebooted after the fresh update and It looks even better with new display fingerprint animations, loved it. and while keeping the phone on charging that screen effect I loved it.
    4. NDot font yes I am a fan but I am giving this new font a chance and honestly It looks way more attractive. But still I am happy you guys kept the options to choose between Ndot font.
    5. Alright, I’ve just tested the camera with different light conditions and compared to OS2.6 there’s a major loss in LOD (level of details) in near to far distance when capturing in 2x. This wasn’t in 2.6 and 3.0 camera rendering need lot of improvement. Having 50 mp camera and not able to use it is hindering my experience. (Need this fix asap).

I will update this list once I am done explore all new features and see if we are missing any major features from 2.6.
