Nothing OS 3.0 | General Release
I like some of the quick settings of nothing os 2.6 better the dotted brightness it looks much cooler and the flashlight setting why separate it? I think it’s okay to have it merged also if some of people like this 3.0 ver better maybe make an option that can merge some of the quick settings. Also the option to use glyphs in alarm poss and music app and the gallery app why it does not go to the own gallery app of nothing when I take photos
First of all shout to the Nothing team for delivering stable NOS 3.0 on time.
I have some suggestions and feedback for nothing team about the recent 3.0 update:
- Update is almost Same what we got in OB, as a user I aspect some changes from beta update. While other brands provide extra customisation in thier OS aprat from beta’s. Hope nothing try to change their approach towards beta and stable release builds.
- We get to see Incomplete Update what we saw in announcement video of NOS 3. Gallery App has very basic functions while it was stated to release some advanced functionalities in NOS 3.0 including AI features. If not in update then Clarification is needed when these features will come?
- App archive feature is missing in NP (2) while its present in NP (2a). As it is core Android 15 feature but still missing from 3.0
- No Camera improvements for Nothing PH (2)
. I am not sure why nothing is ignoring these issues as its the main issue for ph 2 users. Community posts are flooded with phone 2 camera issues but still there is no clarification from team regarding these.
- More detailing is required in the OS as there are minor changes.
Hope nothing takes this feedback positively and work on more implementation for the NOS in future releases.

think it’s a real shame that they didn’t work on the camera at all on the phone 2. It upsets me so much. I would have wished for more. The OS 3.0 update is not really fascinating either.
No camera improvement
No new partners working with nothing glyph
No new features for the glyph.
You can no longer hold down the flashlight button to turn on the glyphs. Downgrage here.
Yet another update video released without implementing all the features that were shown in the video.
Unfortunately, they have the problem right from the start. As a flagship phone, it is not esim capable.
Gallery app released promised features are not implemented.
Their ai features are really weak.
No cool features ( make tech fun again not average)
And much more
I think Samsung or Huawei will be my next Android

A overall camera update is necessary for the nothing phones to beat others including apple and pixel.now new players are in th field, vivo ,iqoo and moto phones targeting especially in photography. We have capable hardware,so a full software update is a necessity to introduce new phones in the future.
I think you should move to other android providers.
Nothing is limited by size and it’s a young company.
While others are established player with greater resources at hand.
You can’t compare both, before buying you should have considered this.
People those who like nothing, wanted to try something different and new. They are almost ready and know the risks of it already.
So stop complaining instead leave afeedback for them to improve.
Is the update available in Italy on phone 2a?
We give them so much feedback. I supported them.
But they don’t listen enough to the customers.
They have their own strategies and they are currently miserable.
Just the release video of os 3.0. Why show so many features that were not implemented at all. What kind of strategy is that. It’s confusing for some and frustrating for others.
MadOne Odd. I’m on an NP2 if that makes any difference.
AmjithViswambharan Exactly
In widget countdown timer widget is not available, before update long pressing the flash toggle turn on glyph light fully but now only flash is working glyph light is not
R_TOFERNANDES_R_TO_ the worst thing they are not acknowledged it and give any official statment that they’re going to fix camera or not
That was a pleasent surprise by the Nothing team, personally I had high doubts they’d make the final release of OS 3.0 for December, let alone just before Christmas. As an avid Nothing Phone (2) user who avoided testing the Beta, I have to say I am pleasently surprised:
- Vibration for custom ringtones and notifications is finally working again! Even though it doesn’t when selecting a tone from the Glyph menu.
- There is now a slider to adjust vibration strength, while it is very subtle, it’s at least an improvement over having none at all.
- Haptic feedback while typing at first seemed to have been improved slightly, with the sounds from the vibration motor being less loud, however after another phone restart, it’s back to OS 2.6 levels and I can’t revert it.
- Finally being able to set a custom charging limit is great!
- While I like the new clock designs, I’m still using the well known N-Dot style we’ve always had. I’m glad you decided to keep it as an option.
- Same goes for the N-Dot font inside the settings menu, although I really dig the new font, I still switched back to the dotted style.
- I mostly enjoy the new quick settings menu and the new widget menu.
- I tried the new smart drawer option, and the result was fairly decent, but can’t compete with what I, as a human, would do. Some of my shopping apps were listed under “Lifestyle” instead of shopping for example. Being an EV owner it did however correctly organize most of my EV related apps under “Travel”, but failed sorting the app of my car there, that again was listed under “Lifestyle”. I reverted back to the old drawer for now.
What I don’t really like is the way you are handling the release of the Nothing Gallery. It suddenly appeared for everybody, even OS 2.6 users, on the Play Store, it doesn’t seem to integrate with the camera app by default, there is no dedicated post or introduction here on the Nothing Community and it is lacking some basic functionality in terms of features (gif support, editing, set as wallpaper,…) which so far, even though OS 3.0 is now labeled as stable, makes it only barely useable as the only solution for a gallery app.

I don’t feel you are listening to users as nothing phone 2 user asking for camera update but you did not provide any update or give any official statement on this
spacexfan your locked folder photos are stores in offline mode only within Google Photos app. It is accessible only untill Google photos app uninstall or reset.
