Am i the only one who thinks that since last Update Nothing 1 camera have got worse.

Yes phone 1 needs a significant update, the camera quality is really horrible with Android 14.
What’s worse is that the newest update of today, 2.5.5 for Phone 1 offers no update for camera. Only unnecessary changes like chat gpt and widgets.
This can’t be any truer. The camera was good in the android 12 and 13 era. The updates have really messed it up.
The glare effect of light is a genuine problem in 1.

Joseph_ixtone even worse is that these people are messing up things further by launching new devices just to capture new customers.
Then they intend to rollout fixes in the name of updates. This arrogance is on another level.
Wolverine That’s How this industry works. see other brand they don’t even provide updates in quarterly no improvement in anything examples are xioeme,all BBK phones, Motorola. atleast nothing is providing updates to 2yr old phone regularly.

VivekBhagat they committed to it, and by releasing they know very well that they will only reduce their adoption rate for further devices by not giving updates. They are not doing us a favor, they need to provide updates. I’m not even saying this on my behalf, I am saying this for everyone. Nothing products are actually half baked. If they have messed up camera, it’s their job to fix it or else they know the bad press will spill over to other products.
Moto and resmi have a very stable and balanced ecosystem. They didn’t jump to release multiple products in one go even ten years back.
Wolverine redmi and moto release phones 10+ in year and moto does even give proper update to its flagship some are still on android 13 and redmi just forget it stable and redmi 
.
Nothing is new company and they have fixed almost all the bugs since launch if you are talking camera its under 30k phone for 2022 phone on that price its fine not the best and they are going to release their new camera processing to nothing phone that ultra hdr and etc so just and see.
VivekBhagat they now release 10 phones in a year but only after they have developed their ecosystem. Nothing is busy spreading its products with no research, why even fix what wasn’t broken, ie camera?
The camera will never be the same, and extra bells and whistles like widgets and chat gpt won’t amount to core use.
Wolverine just don’t buy nothing phone go buy those brands.

Hello, Nothing Phone (1) users! Are you all satisfied with phone 1 camera??
I think it need to be more improved. Just like manually HDR control, more clarity, portrait light improvement, Watermark customisation, more effects, notify about orientation etc.. But specifically HDR and better photo quality must be needed to improve.
What are your thoughts about phone (1) guys?
I came to a Nothing 1 right after having an iPhone (long time Android user but I wanted to give a go to Apple to try it). The contrast between the camera quality was so stark, I almost returned the phone. It’s really bad quality, there’s a delay between clicking the button to snap the photo and the photo actually being taken, indoors pictures are completely ruined for me. I used to take a million pictures of my kiddo and the iPhone was amazing (until I run out of space on the sub I was paying for 
). But with the Nothing 1 I would snap ten pics only to keep one maybe, cause all were mid movement and grainy. I don’t take many pictures any more and it kills me.
For a company that wishes to compare to iPhone to lure their userbase, the phone camera could be a huge deterrent. I hope maybe they fixed it in newer models, so I have high hopes.
I agree the camera needs to be upgraded like the other phones in the nothing line I feel the picture qulity needs improvement and I think that it should be addressed as this has been mentioned so many times surely nothing are hopefully listening.
Right now, at latest version 12.0.01.41.18, camera is acceptable, not that decent as I would like to. Overall sharpness and noise model is very very good, especially noise model is on the top, for mid-ranger - 100%. The main flaw is colors and HDR. Color righ now are washed, hdr miscalculated many times and white balance to warm. As for me, I would set contrast less by a quarter and set white balance little bit cooler. Those settings must have to be done before anything else, they are easy to interpretive
Doesn’t a blurry photo in motion bother you? It seems to me that this is also a huge problem, and photos in motion should not be blurred.
