I don’t belong to nothing team , I am just a engineering student who has switched from 5 diff oneplus models

And now to nothing , I agree to ur point any time a new device comes they completely shift their focus to that if that new device is a flagship even I would understand

But they r prioritising phones that are sold more than the phone that is their premium

After the phone 3 line-up launches I am not gonna expect them to give us the same support ofc 😂

But as of now the state or the update that I have recieved I am cool with this

    Good performance

    Avg battery life

    Good camera

Another year and even I’ll be shifting to samsung S series or if nothing changes the market probably another nothing

Only time will tell sorry I’ll just wait n watch

hauntedwolf CMF Phone 1 is the best option right now. I have it in my household and after 100 charge cycle battery is still going strong. So its cheap and dependable. I regret spending 40k on NP2.

CMF phone 1 might be a good budget phone

But once ur used to using flagship devices switching to a budget device never is an option it’ll just feel like a downgrade same goes to CMF too

        Which device did you get?

Jitesh K I replace phones every 4-5 when the get physically destroyed. I went OnePlus One in 2014 (two broken screens) to Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition in 2020 (children broke the back and then finally the SIM/speaker connection to the mainboard) to a CMF Phone 1 (2024).

It’s great bang for the buck and while I wish it had a better camera like my partner’s One Plus 12, I realised that I simply send out 99%+ of the photos I take via social media.

Can’t really justify a huge expensive flagship or even middle-spec when the CMF1 is phenomenal at its pricepoint.

Cmf phone 1 it’s really good budget phone but Nothing phone 2a/a plus is best value for money.

vovan-v only difference is processor and glyph, and the processor is only marginally better, definitely would consider 2a over cmf if it had snapdragon, but if you’re someone like me who doesn’t care about glyph and want only the smooth software , cmf is a great value for money

              vovan-v

Nah, the 2a/2a plus are over priced for what they deliver competently Chinese competitors.

Having said that NOTHING OS is why I’m here.

I wouldn’t try to make the value-for-money argument especially with the mediocre cameras.

Satish Kumar 🇮🇳 Nothing is focusing on their highest selling phone, not their latest. Their latest would be the Nothing Phone 2a Plus.

Jordan MTK devices are almost updated before SD devices due to A15 integration. Only the CMF1 gets left behind due to its pricepoint/support offered.

CMF1_hacker The Phone 2a and 2a Plus are valued at a great price for what they offer!

                    Jordan Nah.

The new Redmi/Poco phones offer much more at a similar/better price.

Like I said before, I’m here for NOTHING OS. Although I do find Xiaomi.EU quite good.

The glyph would be cool but the removable back of the CMF1 is great as I have a translucent cover and a glow-in-the-dark one as well 🙂))))

CMF1_hacker Why not just switch to another brand then? Nothing might not be a brand for everybody. Depends on what you are looking. I own nothing phone because I like the design and the OS, but the phone’s performance and abilities are perfect for me.

Jordan because the CMF1 is the best value-for-money on the market.

It’s likely that NOTHING hardly broken even on it.

That cannot be said for the 2a/2a plus who had their anticipated profits subsidizing the production of the CMF1.

                        Also, NOS is great.

I think you’re misunderstanding my simple and pedantic statement that the 2a/2a plus are not good value-for-money, while the CMF1 might be the best value-for-money currently on the market (169 GBP in UK and around 13500 INR in India for the 8/128 variant).

Edit: it seems that the 2a is now available for £237, so I need to adjust my statement as that is an excellent deal.

                        • (Edited)

hauntedwolf that sounds like Shahrukh Khan as Raj from Bollywood movie DDLJ where he bids emotional adieu to his gf and her family. 😆

I don’t really see a huge difference between the CMF1 and the 2a/+ except for the cameras. OIS is quite nice.

Not enough to justify the cost difference or what am I missing?

Comparing aliexpress price, there’s no western profit in the CMF1 and quite a lot in the 2a plus (the Ali and amazon, website prices align for the CMF1, but there’s at least 30% profit extra on the 2a plus).
