The app is great, it syncs perfectly with Google Drive. Looking forward to the pro version and further development.

First off: Congrats to the first public release and thanks for your dedication creating Nothing themed apps!

I am mostly pleased with Noting Notes, however so far I can only give an initial impression and didn’t really dive too deep into it. The interface was a bit confusing at first, with the seperation between folders and all notes divided between two categories (Personal/Work), I initially looked to create new categories, but quickly realized that’s what the folders will be used for.

I think for what you are going with, creating a mostly simple and basic, not overloaded notes app, that system of two categories, folder and tasks is good enough. However I do have some suggestions or random thoughts:

  1. Folders: It would be nice being able to do some sort of further customization for the folders overview. If you just have two or three folders, that’s not an issue, but if one has five, six or even more it might be better getting some additional visual support helping you seeing at first glance what you are looking for, I am thinking about maybe colored dots or hues for the folders. Maybe even take a hint from Nothing Launchers and offer optional icons to be selected?
  2. Folders: I didn’t find an option to rename a folder, I can only delete them. Might not be the worst issue, but if you recognize a misspelled folder after adding a bunch of notes, you’d have to delete it and create a new one.
  3. Google: I get that it’s nice to have it synced with Google, as it helps you easily to backup your notes and especially migrate them when you switch to a different phone or even simply use multiple devices. But it would still be kind of nice to offer some sort of “Offline” option, which stores the data localoy with just an import/export option.
  4. Formatting: I know you’d want to keep it as simple as possible, but I am wondering if at least some basic formatting options could be helpful? I am thinking about things like bulletins, bold, underlined and italic.
  5. Locking: I think it has already been mentioned, but of course it would be convenient if we could just use the fingerprint sensor to unlock the locked notes.

I am looking forward to the Pro version and might purchase it.

Ali Fakhruddin Firstly, thank you for this app. It is very cool and must have app. Could you please check widget? It is not working.

Hey guys. I hear you all. But also note that this is the Lite version of Noting. It’s very basic and simple just for Noting things down. Thats the purpose of it. For customizable options, widgets etc we will be launching a Pro version. With some AI features if needed.

Ali Fakhruddin Hi mate, will there be Turkish language support for this application? Because there is still none in the N-Dial app 🫤

@“Ali Fakhruddin”#p143146heyan tried the app its great love the ui , definitely changing to nothing from Google notes , but the widget is something I’m excited about so eagerly waiting for pro version, whens the release date??

Ali Fakhruddin hey brother I’m very proud of you and the app i just wonder if you can make it a widget too like other notes app so we can track them on home screen i will be so thankful

PasonJatrick as of now no, it doesn’t the pro version which will be released in the future will

While most people are mentioning about Google sign in, the issue is actually deeper wherein it also wants mandatory access for my Google Drive which has confidential data in it. Hence not going ahead with this currently. Will wait for the app to not require a mandatory drive access!

ArifKhoja We are removing the mandatory signing in. And as for privacy, NOTHING is collected by us. Why would we, we have enough going on than to sell your data. Everything is on google. If you have confidential data in the drive, its again, IN GOOGLE. So if youre signing in, its again GOOGLE. So you are comfortable to keep your data in gmail, but not in drive. Well theyre the same. Anyway, whatever the case may be, we are removing the mandate signing.

      ArifKhoja Dull - Minded !!

You people appreciate this man so that they can do ever better but people always blame others.

Ali Fakhruddin " Hey, I just stated what I felt and seen, and nothing about selling the data. I also positively stated that I am coming back to the app and have it installed. You liking a comment posted negatively about a criticism you couldn’t address shows how insecure you feel. Anyway the reply stated by you shows the statements I have already mentioned!

        Anonymous348

I appreciate and I also share feedbacks. So you better stay of out people’s perspectives. Naming someone idiot (now edited to dull-minded) with the irony of having an ‘iOS lover’ username on a nothing platform talks volumes about who an ‘idiot ( or dull-minded)’ actually is . Also don’t come back with your idiotic (and dull-minded) explanation to this!

        Mirko_ddd Thanks!

ArifKhoja Its not about insecurity. My point is the hypocrisy of people and a sudden take on privacy when it comes from third party developers like us. You’re fine giving you data to google and other giants but find it difficult to understand why certain apps needs permissions. And when we try to explain, you play the victim card by pointing out how “Insecure” I am. Nice… Anyway, I am not someone who like fights and have seen enough of the world. So all in all, if theres something you felt wrong from my end, I apologize for that. You can enjoy the app thats made by us specially for the loving community of Nothing or use any of the 1 Billion notes app out there that arent Noting.

Congratulations, Ali. Always great to see a concept become a reality.
