Honestly, I think you have to give the user the right to disable this button, or assign other functionality. Y’all are creating and fast and responsive software experience with great customisation, and the ability to choose whether you want an AI assistant should also be there. I’d probably end up remapping this button. This is literally my only concern about this device.

Seems like an Interesting use case…. but having my second brain only on the phone and that not being accessible via my other devices like laptop etc is a deterrent for me
I hope this comes also to the previous Nothing phones.
This feature is the best option for me.while surfing internet I often take screenshots of things that caught my attention at that time.But reviewing after some days I forgets why i took it.Eagerly waiting to come on nothing phone 2

The usage of AI was one of the main points why I bought this phone. Happy with it so far but would recommend a few things -
Essentials feature
Sometimes, voice notes get saved with whatever is on the screen. Now a lot of times, I am using it as a reminder mechanism. I love the idea that any work that comes to my mind can be simply recorded and shown as a to-do list. The things that I am recording usually have nothing to do with what’s on the screen. If the home screen is on, it doesn’t save the screenshot (I think). But I don’t want to go to the home screen always. Maybe there could be a way to sort this? If the content on the screen is not relevant to the voice note, it could be ignored?
App grouping
The AI app grouping is decent. But after it has worked, there should also be a customisation possible. The grouping isn’t perfect, it might never be. If the customisation is possible, I just don’t know how to do it. Would love to know that if applicable.

AmodDeshpande you can click the screenshot by another finger to disable it, before you release the essential key, next time you long-press the key, it remains screenshot disabled
It’s annoying that if I wanna copy part of the saved text I need to screenshot the essential space and use Google lens.
Would be Great to be able to select (and modify?) the ai generate text.
I hope that I can export things in the essential space to other format like markdown to import to my note system.
Rob Hey, I just got the nothing phone 3a pro and started exploring it. In Launch Video Carl demonstrated that flip to record and summarise feature is available through essential space. But, as far as I’ve tried it’s not available on 3a pro. When can we expect that feature? I found an workaround (tap essential space key and manually record it by taping mic icon.)
But, Inorder to do that we have to keep the display on all the time and it kinda defeats the purpose.
Hope you guys will bring that feature to us as well.
