Will the Essential Space and Essential Key features from the Nothing Phone (3a) come to the Nothing Phone (2a) and (2)?

The Essential Space and Essential Key are specifically designed for the Nothing Phone (3a) series, which is scheduled for launch on March 4, 2025. These features include an AI-powered hub for content organization and a dedicated button for quick access to various functionalities.
While Nothing has been diligent in providing updates and new features to existing devices, it appears that the Essential Space and Key will be introduced exclusively with the Phone (3a) series. Users of the Phone (2a) may not have access to these specific features

They can give us option to remap the long press power button or maybe hold both volume up and down at the same time to activate Essential space
Hey all, I’m a Phone 2a user from Taiwan and got it right at launch—huge Nothing fan here! The new Smart Collections and Essential Space on Phone 3a look awesome, but since 2a doesn’t have the Essential Key, any chance these features could come to us with Nothing OS 3.1? Even a software workaround (like gestures) would be great! Hoping us early adopters get some love too. Anyone heard anything from Nothing? Thanks for any replies or pings to the team!
They must. Carl himself promised all AI features for all Nothing phones. and phone 3a processor is not a high-performance chip. Therefore, it has to come to the CMF Phone 1. If it doesn’t, we will publicly demand Carl to take his words back.

very uncool of them could have added it as a long press on the power button like the google assistant, see this are the things that make me regret going to nothing, they either dont think this stuff, or just start becoming like apple it was a very easy fix and would have made everyone happy

Will, if so when will the previous versions of nothing phones get the essential space app? More specifically the phone 2a.

We don’t know all the details yet but for now it’s only available for Phone (3a) series which make sense because it take advantage of the new key which is only present on these.
As the new key’s function can be performed by the power key or a combination of volume and power keys. So, are 2a users getting essential space or not?
I started a discussion about essential space for 2a users earlier also but they hid it.

so somwere yeah and somwhere no, because we dont have the button, but whe can download the app and then do it in the app but not with buttons
I hope so, because they don’t seem to be stingy with the software features. The CMF phone has all the features of Nothing OS.

Jack_Chang it’s because they are good in software only so now for few years they will provide every feature to budget phones bhut when they enter main stream they are going to do the same as OnePlus and samsung
