MarkG13 we can just use the app alone or we can customize the power button right? Or another combination, like pressing the volume up and volume down together or whatsoever right?

FreeNP3AProPls! That’d involve software development which they might not want to invest in due to the product been early days. Also the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 features an AI engine which might power some of the AI analysis that happens on-device.
I don’t think there’s official word on whether it will be available but, I’d assume this is a (3a) Series and beyond feature.

. However, I found out that essential space works like Google’s keep, but in a Nothing’s way. I hope that there will be dedicated note-taking that function’s as a second brain and most importantly, NATIVE to NOTHING 
hrry I always use Google’s keep, task, and calendar, however I can’t fully customise them like the color and they not look minimalist, they look really a not native app and that sucks .
I hope I can swap my NP2aPlus with the new NP3a/NP3aPro, i really want that essential space…

yes, they can add it in the power button, but there’s another way, they can let us make a shortcut/widget in quick setting so that we can quickly swipe down for the quick settings and use the essential space, just like shazam, or screen recording is done, but i dont think so the earlier processers will be able to handle or do the AI summarization/tasks, as the processor in the newly launched phones have AI intergration,
anyways I’m also a NP2a user, i hope so they figure out something for the early trustees of NOTHING

Some of it will not be possible if the processor doesn’t support AI capabilities. NP1 clearly now is EoL for Nothing and i doubt they will give it attention apart from security updates.

SamarthNP1 I use that app but its summarisation is not as good as nothing’s.
Does anyone other than me thinks NP2 deserves the essential button AI feature available in NP 3 segments. I guess if possible the team can bring the same in NP2 with the power button shortcut to be assigned. It just still now the company’s only Flagship phone is NP2 as 3 hasn’t launched till now, so in a way the NP2 should be given the same.

Is Nothing going to introduce Essential Space for Nothing Phone (2a) series. This feature is really helpful and I think older Nothing phones need this.
There should be a way to accomplish it through double-clicking Power button or some other gesture way.
