sheldon. I had spoken to @Akis about this during the Mumbai Launch Event. This feature is exclusively developed for phone (3a) series, and probably future models.

Nothing has always assured that they won’t stop innovating in terms of software and provide new (AI) features to older models, too. However, essential space is meant to be used only with the essential key on the new 3a series. That’s confirmed.

    101C1TanmayShetty ya that’s a problem which I also found but nothing has not done anything great If you see all the processing occurs on the cloud not on the device so device doesn’t have ai inbuilt so nothing great job

      I feel like it is a very useful feature and I would love it on my phone (2). Although it has a dedicated button in the phone 3, I believe a long press power button or something like that would also be very cool. I hope the devs notice this add this in the next update! Cheers!

      Intrested to see the essential space on phone 2. If 3a series can handle it definitely phone 2 also can handle it. Please add this feature

        Today I’m here to talk about how we can integrate essential key to devices which don’t have the hardware essential key

        I personally have the phone 2a and i think that the AI features need to be integrated on these devices too.. Like long pressing the power button can do the same as pressing the essential key. I know how nothing also provides latest updates to thier predessecing phones too and I want them to do the same for the essential key as a wider range of audience can access the AI features.

        My suggestion is too program the power button or volume button to act as an essential key or to open essential space.

        Thoughts??

        (Also on a unrelated note.. can we pls have update for camera app?)
