I recently purchased the Nothing Phone 3a and have noticed that the battery drains very quickly during WhatsApp video calls. Even with a full charge, the battery percentage drops significantly within a short period. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Are there any settings or optimizations that could help reduce battery consumption during video calls? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I’m using this fabulous device for the past 2 months

What’s your view on battery life ??

Good or bad?

I’m a moderate user who do occasionally gaming and Barley use social media

I have noticed a little battery drain

Like it’s not worst but for a 5000 mah phone we expect more

I usually use my phone for 3-4 hours a day (approx) 80 % charge and end up with 25-30 night

But it’s not good on gaming that’s like I need to charge my phone 2 times a day

It’s not bad just decent battery experience

And one thing I noticed is draining for no reason

It simply drains 7-10 perc without any background activity or any network connection

What’s your view on this ….

Since last update, my nothing phone 3a battery is draining near about 15% overnight. I had tried turning off wifi and blutooth during night time along with many other battery optimisation settings. But the issue still persist. Here I have provided a complete log of my battery consumption as your suggestion.

Same issue here. Maybe it’s worth to see if the 3.2 update will fix it… I know for sure this isn’t an issue for every 3a out there, I’ve seen people claiming their 3a only loses 1% overnight. That’s weird…

Btw, I have the same version as Rahul20182 (except it’s not Indian), Asteroids-V3.1-250417-1222

Ginqus I’m not sure what exactly happened, but when I visited the service centre, they told me they would update the phone from their end. After that—boom—the battery started working like before, lasting 9–10 hours without gaming ,only video streaming and other tasks.

I suggest you try visiting the service centre once.

I am also facing this kind of issue after charging the device to 100%, 5-10mins it will already drop 2%. I hope they fix this issue

Rahul20182 What service center did you go to? Was it the official Nothing service center or something? Because Nothing doesn’t have service centers in my country, that means I’ll probably have to visit other service centers and ask them if they can repair Nothing phones.

So, you don’t know how they fixed your phone at all, right? Maybe they replaced the battery itself, or maybe they updated the OS… After you’ve got your phone from the service center, were your files intact or did they do a factory reset? Sorry if I’m asking too many questions

Yeah I’m Having Same issue … But I’m also having another issue and that’s about the charging speed .. though I have original 65w nothing’s charger with original cable but the charging speed is stuck at 7w … That’s why my device fully charges in 2.5 hrs to 3 hrs …

Don’t know what to do .. even service center people are saying that there is an issue with 3a battry life nd charging speed.. I hope things resolve by new update these things may get optimised…

Even me as a user is feeling a lot of problems regarding the battery drain, it’s draining very quickly just after one week of purchase. Please nothing team fix it ASAP.

Ginqus Man look,They told me that they are going to update the phone from their end because sometimes the system is not able to update the phone correctly.

The service center was a multi-brand one.

You can check the official Nothing website for authorized service centers.

Also, they are not going to change the battery or anything else without my permission.

whats the reason why nothing is not resolving the Battery draining issue, even i taught they would have resolved this issue along with May security update, whats the use of building a Good phone and neat UI
