The new OS 3.0 has made excellent changes and I think this may add more towards the OS customisation as well as user experience. They are:

  1. Always on Display: if we introduce more types of clocks and alignment towards AOD the user can decide which one suites them.
  2. Notification panel: I think most of them use two icons for mobile data as well as wifi then itā€™s better to show seperate in pop up window.
  3. Nothing Gallery App 2.0: One of the best decision made by nothing on the basis of feedback was the introduction of Gallery App, but still there are certain things needs to be added for editing and stuff we still need to rely on other App. If you can add presets and adjustment in App itself it would have been great.
  4. Advanced Text Capture : As we use certain apps there are some app where we are not able to select text . If you can implement use AI like what Samsungā€™s One UI then we would be able to capture text from screenshot too.
  5. Introduction of Dialer App and contacts: If nothing can bring new dialer and contact app it would be great. The increase of customisation and Animation such as full screen photo etc which we use to see in iOS would be great.

These are some of my suggestion which would be great if we add in next R&D.

For Nothing to stop going on about Apple and start focusing on its own unique lane not just with design but with its own apps and features to offer that other deviceā€™s donā€™t..

Iā€™d like to request two features that would greatly enhance the user experience:

  1. Scheduled Power On/Off: This was a feature on my previous phone, and it was incredibly helpful. If it could be added in future updates, Iā€™d really appreciate it.

  2. Microphone Selection for Recording Apps: I recently purchased the CMF Buds Pro 2, and I noticed that when using the recorder app while wearing the earphones, the audio is still recorded through the phoneā€™s microphone. It would be great to have an option to switch to the earphonesā€™ microphone for recording.

  3. App Drawer and Home Screen Widget Behavior: Currently, when an app is hidden in the app drawer, its widgets and shortcuts are also removed from the home screen. It would be great if the widgets and app icons could remain on the home screen even when the app is hidden from the app drawer. This way, I could still access the app from the home screen while keeping my app drawer organized. If I wanted to remove the app from the home screen, I could simply drag and drop it into the bin.

  4. Improved Screen Recording Accessibility: Starting and stopping screen recording currently requires swiping down the notification bar, which can sometimes be visible in the recording. It would be helpful if tapping the screen recording tile/option opened a floating widget instead. This floating widget could be used to start and stop recording without being detected by the screen recording software, making the process more seamless and professional.


I would like to request the addition of a calculator widget to Nothing OS. Having a built-in calculator widget would provide users with quick and easy access to basic calculations without needing to open an app. It could be placed on the home screen , offering convenience for everyday tasks like currency conversion, tip calculations, or simple math.

This feature would enhance the overall user experience by saving time and reducing the need for third-party calculator apps. I believe many users would find it a helpful and practical addition to Nothing OS!.

I use classic navigation with 3 buttons (back/home/recent apps). Sometimes itā€™s not very convinient to drop down the notifications when using the device with one hand.

Double tap on ā€˜homeā€™ button would be a great solution. Remember this feature on 1+5t device.

Gestures, especially music control, that allow you to skip your music tracks by drawing the ā€œ>ā€ or ā€œ<ā€ on your screen has been one of the most used features in my previous phone. Extra ā€œXā€ , ā€œVā€ , etc gestures that can be assigned to any function on the phone would be great too. Please incorporate this in the Nothing O.S

    I am a passionate user of your products and truly admire their innovative design and functionality. I have an idea that could make your devices even more appealing: a dedicated Gaming Mode similar to the one offered by RedMagic.

    Such a mode could include features like:

    Performance boosting (CPU/GPU optimization for gaming)

    Minimizing notifications during gameplay

    Customizable gaming settings

    Enhanced support for game controllers

    Please in the next update/fix add OMAPI interface for eSim adapter in Nothing phone 1.

    I was just using Facebook Messenger and thought it would be awesome to see the Nothing team do a similar app for itā€™s Nothing devices for messaging.
