Nothing OS Wishlist Megathread | Session 2025
FXDD0 well well…
" we love the clean and minimal experience of Nothing OS, but here are some suggestions to make it even better!
True Black Dark Mode – Helps with battery life & OLED contrast.
Customizable Glyph Lights – More patterns, app integration, and user-defined actions.
AI-Powered Features – Smarter text predictions, AI call screening, and better battery optimization.
Improved Always-On Display – More customization, widgets, and notification interactions.
More Icon & UI Customization – Let users tweak colors, shapes, and layouts without third-party apps.
What other features would you like to see in Nothing OS? Let’s discuss! #NothingOS #FeatureRequests #NothingCommunity
it would be cool if you could adjust the brightness of the essential notification light without having to change the brightness of all other notifications as well, I want my notifications to still blink at full brightness, but I want my essential light to be on the dimmest possible setting.
When I got the phone I liked that the WIFI and DATA were mixed in one ICON, but when I updated to Nothing OS 3.0 they separated it. Are or able to make it revert into one or no? If no, do you agree that we should be able to customize all the ICONS to that extent?

Having status bar icons constantly stay on the top of the screen causes screen burn-in in amoled displays. To avoid this a settigs similar to immersive mode would be great. The icons would disappear when immersive mode is turned on and the will appear when you pull down near the status bar area. If you pull down twice the notification shade will open
I would love to see more customization options and a user-friendly interface similar to OxygenOS. It’s one of the best when it comes to personalization and ease of use, and having similar features would really enhance the experience for all users. OxygenOS is very interesting and interactive, and we can make our own unique experience. Incorporating those elements would make the overall experience even bett

hello everyone, this is the first time i am positng so dont be harsh ahha, i own the nothing phone 2a which is great but as a teen who likes gaming i think it lacks some gaming features. Currently there are featyres for fps display, screen recording and do not disturb are all good but i think there should be more like
featue to lock brightnes
voice changing feature for creatora(optional)
a display to show the duration of the game and the batter display
options for diff game modes like a battery saver, balanced and a full on gaming mode
also whatsapp as a small tab to pick up call (optional)
so in conclusion i think it could have better gaming feautres which will target a new audiance of gamers, a software update can bring these feautres to the phone. Thank you for reading this and comment if any suggestion.
“Adaptive Glyph Charging: Smarter Battery Indicators with LEDs”
Concept:
The Nothing Phone’s Glyph Interface could use different blinking patterns, pulse speeds, and brightness levels to give users real-time battery feedback while charging.
How It Works:
1. Overheating Alert:
If the phone gets too hot, the Glyphs slowly pulse to warn the user.
Once the phone cools down, the lights return to normal.
2. Smart Charging Status:
Fast Charging → Quick pulsing LEDs.
Normal Charging → Slow breathing effect.
Trickle Charging (80-100%) → Steady glow.
3. Battery Health Indicator:
If the battery health is degrading, the Glyph flashes once when plugged in.
If battery health is good, the Glyph lights up smoothly.
4. Wireless Charging Feedback:
If the phone is misaligned on a wireless pad, the Glyphs blink twice to notify the user.
When charging correctly, the Glyphs stay steadily lit.
Why This is Cool:
Gives instant charging feedback without opening the screen.
Helps users protect battery health over time.
Keeps Nothing’s clean, minimalist UI while adding more useful functionality.
This would make the Glyph Interface more than just an aesthetic feature—it becomes an interactive charging assistant!
Would Nothing OS 3.5 or 4.0 introduce s
Something like this? Let’s get the community talking!
Stop being addicted to phone
Plug in the charger and forget about it
In whatever manner you charge your battery will last enough. I have been charging randomly over 1.5yrs and its still good maybe health 90% i don’t know just guessing.
Also ideas are good but there’s too much wastage of energy
