IamSanjith revenue reasons are why all companies exist, especially those in a pre-IPO state like NOTHING TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED. I think allowing a remap of the ES would be foolhardy because the business plan would no longer be founded on the number of handsets sold X the probably of a subscription for AI minutes.
Likewise, rolling ES out to non-ES-buttoned devices makes little sense as NTL cannot confirm the potential user base, which will cause VC backers hesitation in future discussions due to the uncertainty.
Large established firms allow remapping, like Apple, so why not go with them, if it’s a big deal. Also, aftermarket/custom solutions are all over the internet that exist to:
(A) Remap the ES button to other functions like camera shutter
(B) Have ES run on older hardware without an ES button (at least the last time I checked on my CMF1 but it has been updated since then).
Expecting NTL to promote something like this while possibly hurting a revenue stream isn’t a “bad look” (what is that expression anyways in a capitalist marketplace), it’s simply common sense.
