_z_ Although the chipset performance has only increased slightly, many things have been upgraded, including the telephoto and ultra-wide cameras, NFC, and a display with thinner bezels, Essential Space, etc.

When you are going to use a smartphone for some long time the only thing that matters is performance. UltraWide and NFC are some features that hardly matters. Most of the people usually use main camera maximum time.

They should have given better processor at this price point.

With those prices of additional accessories for its cameras it will be likely a price of 3A.

in theory, I’m think of picking up a rear case and lenses and trying it on the CMF1, no sides obviously, not that I care really

I’m not been following the trickle of announcements, but is there a CMF Phone 2 (non-Pro)? If not, what makes this a ‘Pro’ phone and not, put more simply, the follow-up to the CMF phone 1?

I’ve only watched Mrwhosetheboss’s review so far and there is some impressive stuff. Camera looks good, and it’s great to see the phone gets full fat Nothing OS with Essential Space. Disappointed to see Nothing pulled back on the incorporated yet changeable shell-cases. It was a great feature, enabling people to use their phone ‘nude’ without worrying about irreparably damaging the exterior. Mrwhosetheboss explains the new phone ends up being thicker than the CMF phone 1 when the same attachments are on, and the sides are fixed (cannot need changed). I am also one of the odd few who liked not having NFC, for privacy reasons.

The Phone 2 pro got NOS3.2 now. Will older phones get any of the updates? Stuck on NOS3.0 on cmf phone 1 with a lot of bugs and glitches

_z_ It’s very subjective, and a lot of Phone (1) reviews and general user reviews cited the lack of NFC as a drawback. (Because Google Pay, etc. are not supported)

A lot of people, including myself, don’t play game or only play light games and replace their phones every 2-3 years, so they might prefer something with average processor and a versatile camera in the same price range.

People like you who value processor performance over camera, build quality, etc. can check out the POCO X line, or realme phone.

There are so many improvements with this new phone from CMF by Nothing!
It is great to see this sister-brand continue the massive strides that embodies every release by Nothing.

To be able to access a great camera, the same main sensor as 3a, as well as a 2x Telephoto, at such a small price is nothing more than outstanding.

I am sure there shall be many levels of creativity from the Community again, with the Universal cover CAD plans out there already! 👀

I caught the youtube Mrwhosetheboss review, got curious, and have just bought the CMF Phone 2 Pro…with Free Gift headphones and a half price, cmf 1 wallet, shipped for GBP 230!!

I’m a die-hard Nothing Phone 1 fan but for these latest specs, being treated to a slightly larger a 6.77″ screen the new AI button and the funky Orange case with a first issue wallet add-on and I get free headphones?!!

I have to say I’m excited and pretty amazed at getting all that as a package for GBP 230! That’s a killer deal Nothing!! 😎

Lastly, what’s the situation with the white magnetic case attachment feature in the Mrwhoseboss video… where is it available from as I can’t see it on the Nothing.tech website?

JasonSean I’m pretty sure I saw another reviewer demonstrate that the wallet attachment won’t fit the Phone 2. The only accessories from Phone 1 that fit are those using the dial/screw anchor at the bottom.

Great improvements, great design and really competitive pricing. Can’t wait to pick one up and experience it for myself. The addition of NFC now makes this a non-brainer for folks who need it for contactless payments, etc.
