RavishKumar Yeah, I kind of agree with your opinion.
I’m a happy Nothing Phone (1) user, and as a fan of the brand, I recommended the Phone (2) to a colleague at work who actually shifted from an iPhone 12 to the Nothing Phone (2). Unfortunately, he hasn’t been very happy with it—mainly due to the camera performance. It feels like the Phone (2) never got the serious attention it deserved.
When Nothing launched the Phone (1), they put a lot of effort into polishing it—understandably, since it was their first phone. But after the Phone (2) launched, it seems the company’s focus quickly shifted to the Phone (2a), and as a result, Phone (2) hasn’t received the kind of software optimization it deserves, especially in areas like camera performance.
Ironically, the Phone (2a), which costs significantly less, is currently taking better pictures than the so-called flagship Phone (2). So I do see where you’re coming from.
I’m still a Nothing fan myself—I use the Phone (1) alongside the Ear (2)—but this is just my honest take on the Phone (2). The company is doing a decent job pushing software updates, but newer devices seem to get them first, even when the Phone (2) is supposed to be the flagship and costs around ₹45,000 in India.
Hope the team seriously listens and re-aligns priorities, especially for loyal users.
