CMF Phone (1) Support for Android 16?

I got android 15 in my CMF phone 1 in 2025 and if I get android 16 in the same year. Does my software update support of 2 years end? Will Android 16 be released in 2025 ?

I hope they fucking don’t. I hate these OS upgrades every year. They barely managed to optimize Android 15 on the CMF 1 with recent update( still many issues), and now you want them to ship the next OS with the same garbage quality? I hope it doesn’t come before 2026. I want my phone to work better, not just get some weird different icons from an OS upgrade.

If you do not like nothings android. I know lineage os has one for cmf 1.

Just need to back up everything unlock boot loader and do the steps

It’s not like I really want to see cmf 1 running android 16. But out of pure curiosity, it would be interesting to see if they can optimise it.
