Has anyone else here had a small part of their Ear (1) breakaway, making it impossible for one of the pods to charge? See picture attached. I’ve had this successfully replaced, but wonder if it’s a frequent issue.

Haven’t seen anything like that before louisduverger but great idea to create this post for discussion. Would be interested to see if more members have experienced something similar. 👍️

Rudi Yes, I’m facing this right now, but it’s not completely out(Check the image for reference). At first, I thought I broke it even though I handled ear(1) with good care. I spent hours thinking about when I put that much pressure to make it break. Happy to hear it may be a hardware issue & I feel relaxed it’s not caused by me. I don’t know if it’s possible to replace it right now after months. I contacted the Support team about this & they suggested buying a new one as repair services are not currently available. I even mentioned this in reply to a private discussion between you and me on Nov 30, 2021. Rudi I am happy to pay a few bucks for this to get repaired/replaced. From this incident, I don’t feel comfortable using my ear(1). So, please look into this issue & help me out. Thanks to louisduverger for mentioning this. Hoping to hear positive news, Thank you.

Rudi @tarunspartan has linked to this thread in a Reddit post where someone has had the same issue. They say they dropped them but aren’t sure that caused the initial crack.

Rudi I have this same exact issue. But, Here in India, Nothing India Support neglecting the replacement saying it’s physical damage 😶 Help needed ASAP. I have been trying from a almost month.

I’ve just found out that there’s a crack in my case. Probably because of closing the lid. ☹️

Is this a warranty issue?

Pascal_R I doubt any company covers crack or scratches, due to wear & tear, under its warranty. Was it broken when delivered?

Accidental damage covers & insurances cover these cracks and all.

Just got an answer back from the customer support that they aren’t gonna provide a replacement for me. Probably because I’ve won these earbuds at the year(1) giveaway. What imo a bad thing is….

I’m always very carefull with my tech/gadgets. Never dropped it or something else.

But this crack comes from closing the lid. It’s exactly on the point where the magnets comes together. Imo this should not happen with normale usage and it looks more like a designfailure to me.

There are some scratches on the surface of the case and I would say that that’s totally normal for everyday use.

On that company’s never covering this kind of things isn’t true. For a few years ago my HTC M8 was scratched because of a designfailure of there phonecase. HTC totaly fixed my phone under warrenty.

Pascal_R I feel like it would crack in a top to bottom way if it was from lip.

If you are in the USA download the “Shop” app and there’s an option to buy just the case for $60.

Also if it’s been awhile I don’t see them replacing or covering it under something like insurance.

There is no punch hole in the case. And I never noticed it before, because normally I take the buds out or put them back in the case.

But it doesn’t matter. Didn’t had to pay for this one, and my white ones doesn’t have this problem. I hope that when others are having this same particular problem they will get a better solution. 😅

I’m gonna enjoy my fresh WH-1000xm5. 😋

Same here… I’ve only had this pair for little over a month.

@Rudi Hey Nothing Community & Team, has any1 had issues with the Nothing ear(1) charging cable? It suddenly has stopped working for me! Is it possible to get a replacement or is there any warranty?

I had a new problem. My left earbud wouldn’t connect anymore. Customer support will give me a replacement now. 😊
