Yesterday, Carl took part in a session on Day 2 of Slush ’23 - a ‘founder focussed event’ held in Helsinki, Finland. The fireside chat, lasting around 20mins, was hosted by Ted Persson, Partner at EQT Ventures.

It’s really proud moment for nothing fans that Carl took part in Slush 2023. As per my understanding is nothing focusing on computers in next go ? Also is there any chance that we can expect nothing dialler in future . Thanks in advance.

Gave this a watch last night and it was really good. As usual, Carl comes across very honest in his views and human like - not a bunch of media trained answers etc.

I’m interested too to see what the next evolution of the ‘computer’ is, and it’s really nice to hear Nothing will be part of that at some stage, when the time is right.

Louis ☕️ Agree 💯 Love how casual this conversation is. I’m really curious about the future and how AI plays a role in our everyday lives. I’d love to see a cloud based solution where we no longer need to maintain physical apps, rather leverage an AI that connects to various apps further connecting us but also connecting us more with the outside world with those we care about around us VS constantly locked to a screen and constant scrolling. I see many companies focused on going this direction, some already building hardware focused on this like Humane with their AI Pin. However, to Carl’s point here and in other interviews he’s done, I’m not sure companies have quite found the right hardware to support this vision just yet. Exciting times! Can’t wait to see how Nothing evolves and navigates this landscape.

Cool interview. Always interesting to hear Carl and how he speaks about the industry. Makes you realize how difficult it must be to compete in that space considering the competition. Excited to see what the future holds for Nothing! I’m sure if anyone can innovate it will be the Nothing team!

This is the exciting thing for me. The company is in a unique position within the industry, they’re the ones trying new things and taking risks. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

JDLC One thing I enjoyed hearing about was the notion of ‘late mover advantage’ - something I think us Android fans have seen Apple exercising for a long time!
