Cracking sound when apps open in game mode

As in subject whenever I open a game (say I’m on the bus) while also having Spotify in background, it distorts the audio and makes it crackle a lot! I’ve messed around with all settings and there doesn’t seem to be a fix?

Unrelated but is there a way to improve the ANC as highs such as speech still leak through on the ANC on… that down to the mics or the app?

RiozNewbie It is only because of the game mode of Android. I can’t understand why it happens… but it happens. If you remove the game from being detected by the game mode, You will not have the crackling anymore.

Weird… so turning off Game mode should fix it completely?

My Oppo didn’t have this issue. Only would cut out when turning off and on a game but the audio was fine which was what made me think it was the phone, ear 2 or software X

RiozNewbie yeah but I think oppo is using a custom game mode, here it’s the Android default one. Maybe there is some kind of conflict between the android game mode and the sound.

but anyway you should report it settings > system > feedbacks, the more we report on one specific bug, the more it will be seen by the team

I have tested it with some cheap Xiaomi earbods and with Ear (stick). No problems there. Just with Ear (2). I would not be so sure that it is androids fault.

I tried to contact Nothing support, but they did not seem to understand that I do not want a new pair but a software update that will fix this for everyone.

Same I felt this everytime I open a game it crackles a lot also wish the team could fix the issue with low lag mode it disables everytime buds get disconnected and need to turn it on again when connected. please fix 🤞🏻.
