ShehinasB I would really like to hear how this company comes up with the Nothing Phone 3 design, did nobody review this? Did a 5 year old drew this? Did Nothing fire all of their designers?
I watched the event like an hour ago and I remember hearing something along the lines of āwe have more hardware engineers than software engineersā so now when I think about it did they fire the people responsible for design and replace it with more community moderators, or some kind of that?
The phone specifications arenāt even that good, telephoto camera worse than the Nothing Phone 3a Pro, the mid-range. The. Literal. Mid-range. Not even an LTPO display, not even USB 3.0 for sakes.
From what Iāve seen from the event video at least, the display looks like some cheaply made AliExpress display, it looks worse than the glyph interface that they had on their previous phones. Hell happened to that? At least if you wanna kill the Glyph Interface make the damn screen bigger, too small for something useful. Wow some random patterns and icons that no user is gonna know what it means, surely itās better than a light saying āhey, your best friend messaged you!ā or āhey, your friend that you havenāt properly been in contact with for months is sending you a message!ā, or even āhey, your mumās calling, go pick it upā, honestly what were they thinking. Is this just innovation for the sake of.. Innovation..?

Companyās entire purpose is to minimize interactions with the damn device, so, I donāt know, you can focus on work or school work or other stuff instead of holding your phone every once in a while to see notifications, and yet we get a button thatās supposed to switch between those display to show what notifications you get, at that point, just make a light that blinks when you get a notification. Oh wait. That already exists. Itās called glyph.
You know what as Iām typing this right now Iām realizing it did NOBODY, and I mean absolutely NO ONE inside the internal team call out āthis design looks absolutely horribleā or something along the lines of that? DID EVERYBODY from the team look at the phone and think āyeah! this lookās amazing, letās approve this design, weāre sure peopleās gonna love this for an eight hundred dollar device!!ā
Had a friend that Iāll not mention here but they were really anticipating the Phone (3) release, I wonder what their thoughts about it.. Phoneās overpriced, terrible, has the specs of a mid range. At this point just make the phone a mid-range phone. Reduce the price. Make another Phone (3) for all I know.
A disastrous release, I must say. The only this good that comes out of this event is most likely just the Headphone (1), I like the design, not my style, but it still looks better than whatever they did with the Phone 3. And I thought it was gonna be better than the Phone 3a Pro. Good god. Expected Nothing, from Nothing. No wonder why the company name is Nothing
Not to mention Customer Support and Quality Control of the phone will probably be questionable as well, as seen from several friendās Nothing Phoneās breaking with Nothing doing absolutely.. well Nothing, at this point this company should stop hiring more community managers, and focus on.. I donāt know, more customer support staff, more more software engineers, more more hardware engineers.
