Hi everyone, Came Late, But Truly Valuable I just wanted to share something that worked for me and might help others who’ve been stuck with the 60fps cap on Nothing Phones, UNLOCK FPS FOR ANY GAMES https://cdn.nothing.community/2025-07-02/1751462868-903480-screen-20250702-184910.mp4 ✅ What worked for me: I installed an app called Assistive Touch for Android from the Play Store. Even though it’s meant for accessibility, the floating button it creates somehow triggers the system to allow 120fps in games. 🔗 Assistive Touch – Play Store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.easytouch.assistivetouch 🔧 Steps: 1\. Install the app and give the required permissions. 2\. Keep the floating button visible on the screen. You can shrink it and reduce the opacity so it doesn’t disturb gameplay. 3\. I just tested it again myself, and it is working on my Nothing Phone 2a — I’m getting smooth 120fps in Geometry Dash lite.

Make sure to:

Start the Assistive Touch before launching the game.

Keep the floating icon on screen (you can make it super small or transparent).

Also try turning on Developer Options → Force High Refresh Rate.

The same result is possible to achieve using dynamic spot app, it also creates overlay that unlocks the cap. The best part about dynamic spot is that you can actually put the spot itself outside the display area meaning there won’t be any visible overlay but the cap will be removed.

Bro you guys don’t know anything you know that if you have a app where you can see display in app settings like fps metre or some other boosters app where the display in app settings available it will then unlock the fps cap you can check the metre by the way. For example you can use fps metre form web and try to open the fps metre and then open the game( not the device fps metre )

Or you can try game guardian. You don’t have to do anything just after setting everything i mean downloading what it tell you to just selected whatever root or non root and then a small icon will appear in the screen and close all app let the small icon float where ever you want then open the game which has the fps caped it will unlock the cap. Don’t need to use the game guardian app which is a hacking app for games but we don’t use hack we just need that game guardian icon which is floating.

By the way i have been using this method for 3 months now and thought that it will be patched but it didn’t so try it your self

VOVchik You can disable games capping at 60FPS by going into [Settings > System > Developer Options > Scroll down to “Disable default frame rate for game” and “Force peak refresh rate” (For higher responsiveness)].

Leoth nope, it doesn’t work in Nothing OS 4.0

I used a workaround for this in OS 3.2 by using an overlay app, but that doesn’t work with 4.0 anymore. Talks about Nothing capping the framerate have been around for ages, and I don’t think the devs even want to fix this issue (or if they even realise it). I could try turning off vsync using system commands, but it’s better to root your phone rather going through all that hassle.
