Like many of you, I was super hyped for the Nothing Phone (3) launch. I was genuinely waiting to buy it… but after seeing it, I’m not fully convinced. ✅ The design language is bold and different — I love that Nothing keeps experimenting. But honestly, this time it feels *half-cooked*. The new glyph matrix (tiny 24×24 display) replaces the signature glyph lights. They say it conveys "more info", but to me, it only feels like maybe 10% more information, and it loses that iconic vibe. **👎The major downgrade in Phone 3** **The display** — Phone 1 and 2 had LTPO displays, but Phone 3 no longer has an LTPO display. **Only Optical Fingerprint** — No untrasonic **Only USB 2.0** — Not 3.1 or 3.2 **Only Gorilla Glass 7i (Front)** — No Gorilla Glass Victus **Only Snapdragon 8s Gen4** - where is snapdragon 8 elite Why would you downgrade such a key flagship feature and still call this your "first true flagship phone"? 💰 Pricing? At ₹80K, they call it a flagship, but it runs on Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 — not a true flagship chipset. Other brands like OnePlus, iQOO, and Poco offer this same chip for under ₹35K. Meanwhile, OnePlus 13 and iQOO 13 come with the powerful Snapdragon 8 (Elite), at even lower prices (₹50–70K). 📸 The only areas where Nothing really shines are the camera system and the software experience. The camera setup looks excellent, and the software is always clean and unique — I respect that. 💡 Personally, if this phone was priced around ₹60K, it would make a lot more sense and feel like a great deal. ✨ Apart from that, I still appreciate the new wired design language and the bold glyph matrix experiment. It definitely feels fresh and unique in a market full of copy-paste designs. Overall, it’s a beautiful idea… but needs more balance between concept and practical value. 🔥 Can’t wait to see how Nothing evolves this design language in future versions!

I think this location of the camera is not accidental, it will be very convenient for her to shoot in difficult places. like a crack in the door… the gap under the bedside table. where the cameras located in the middle simply will not be able to take pictures. I’ve been waiting for something like this.

But just to clarify — I’m not comparing Nothing with “cheaper” phones just for the price tag. My whole point is: look how much hardware others are squeezing in at nearly half the price. Whether it’s battery size, display tech, or chipset — some brands are throwing serious punches with specs alone. 🥊

Of course, Nothing has its own vibe — the design, the OS smoothness, and that signature feel. But if they call Phone (3) a flagship at 80K, then it’s fair to expect flagship-level everything, right?

I’m still rooting for Nothing — I love what they’ve brought to the table so far. But this time, I just felt like the hardware-to-price ratio wasn’t quite there. Hoping Phone (4) brings the 🔥 back!

Haha, true! Pixel 9 is definitely flexing hard with that Gemini Nano, the legendary Google camera magic, and those crazy AI features.
I was also pretty hyped for Phone (3). But after seeing the specs (and that price tag 😅), it feels like a tough sell!
Nothing’s design & vibe are still super unique — but when you put it side by side with a Pixel, it does make you stop and rethink!

Guess we’re both waiting for Nothing (4) or maybe the next big surprise. Who knows? Tech moves fast! ⚡✨

I’m really happy with my Nothing Phone 2 right now, I actually chose it for its minimalistic UI and awesome features with that price, it’s almost everything I need for a reasonable price, but I’m not a Nothing fanboy😂😂😂😂. If I had 799$

Option 1: Wait for another what a year for Phone 4 that we know nothing about and may even get worst!

Option 2: Buy a Google Pixel 9 with Gemini Nano, and 5-6 months of free Google 1 subscription + 25-50% discount for the rest, Beautiful minimalistic UI, backed up by Giant Tech like Google…

Well? That’s a no-brainer!

Nothing’s Ace card was its reasonable prices with the best features possible, which apparently has ignored this time!

everything convenient is gradually becoming beautiful. and anything uncomfortable becomes repulsive. I have to use this to find out. The most beautiful and fashionable coffee table starts to infuriate after three bruises and five overturned glasses.

dineshnavee💫 so well said take my like, 1 think i would like to add glyph lights had limited potential but the community devs made it better hopefully same happens to glyph matrix it can be better then g.lights by atleast 50% if worked upon by nothing

and the processors… intel sold “cool” processors for several years, and after a while it turned out that they were all slightly defective. all reputable computer companies do not release their flagships on the latest chipsets and processors, probably for good reason. Their customers are not buying maximum performance, but maximum reliability. Well, I’ve seen enough Chinese embedded advertising on many top-end smartphones with good chipsets… and the glitches and trolling of these coolest chipsets. and as a result, a cool hot braking device shows ads on top of any window 🙂

Interesting point! I get what you mean — stability and long-term reliability definitely matter more than just raw specs.

But personally, I think there’s still a balance needed. At this price, people naturally expect both reliable performance and a top-tier chipset — especially when other brands are offering that combo for less.

It’s not just about chasing the “coolest” chip, but about giving users that feeling of real value for what they pay.

MuhammedJoghatayi I would say as a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL user, I like the phone and no doubt the specs are wonderful, but being a tech giant like Google isn’t always great. They harvest your data and sell it like it’s nothing. The alternative would be just installing another OS like Graphene OS, but it isn’t worth the hassel in my opinion. Google is steering into rough waters recently making us question what they actually do to gain money.

I do agree with you though on the flop of Phone 3, it wasn’t what we expected from a company that swears to do right by the community and give the users what they want. Looking forward to how Nothing responds if at all.

dineshnavee💫 Hey Dineshnavee, I appreciate your time to make such a detailed well thought out comment on the Phone 3, in which I agree with it all. I don’t think this phone is flagship compared to others around for similar or even less price. As a person that was looking forward for the launch of Phone 3 in order to switch, I was disappointed I thought a company like Nothing would do better by the people and listen to us.

My top concern right now is how Nothing will respond to there community, or even possibly ignore us.

This makes you wonder if they will leave this phone as is and take another 2-3 years to release another mediocre phone.

Totally feel you — this was supposed to be “The One” to finally make us switch, but instead it turned out to be… well, not-so-flagshipy for that price tag.
the real plot twist is how Nothing will respond to this community wave. Will they listen and evolve? Or will they ghost us😂
But hey, Nothing has surprised us before — maybe Phone (4) will come in swinging with that true flagship energy we all want.

dineshnavee💫 i’m TOTALLY agree with that, the people is hating de design for no reason, this is a totally subjetive thing, bc the design itself is symmetrical and unique, i think criticizing this makes more sense, since it determines whether many people buy the phone or not.

Hey! It’s not that we hate Nothing — actually, it’s the opposite! We love the brand, and that’s exactly why we’re here in the community, sharing our thoughts.

When you said “keep it to yourself,” I get where you’re coming from. But if I don’t like something about the phone, I also have every right to share my opinion publicly. After all, it’s a product made for people, and open feedback (good or bad) is what helps any brand improve.

Whilst I am not a fans of the Phone 3’s aesthetics, I will reserve final judgement on the device until hands-on reviews containing proper, real world usage are released. Right now, everything is hyperbole.

This said, I have no interest in buying the Phone 3 nor would I even if it came with the latest and greatest Snapdragon Tensor A25 SuperBionic 9700+ processor. I’m quite content with my Phone 2a and its middle-of-the-road specifications. Most people couldn’t care less if their smartphone is a “flagship”.

dineshnavee💫 I see what you mean and I have no problem with the way you yourself have shared your opinion since you were able to nicely sum up what you think are the negatives, but also the positives and your criticism was constructive since you also proposed your own idea of how the phone should be priced etc.

However, the person I was replying to, emenemy, was going from post to post hating and not trying to provide any constructive feedback, only laughing at and mocking the new device. I think it’s okay to voice your opinion, but when you see it in almost every post from the same person and that person never provides any constructive feedback, it gets a little annoying.

shafi_22 instead of judging me let me tell you I have been using both ios and Android for over 12 years and I feel ios provides better updates with less bugs compared to nothing. You can’t decide what I can buy and what I will buy for that price gap and I never excluded Samsung rather than being a fan boy try to be a sensible person
