Nothing Phone 1 Signal Lost when on Dual SIM

So I have a Nothing Phone 1 and until recently, around a month or so ago, everything was fine. Now I don’t have cellular connection if both of my SIMs are active. I can still connect when using WiFi but once WiFi is disabled, I can’t connect. I have to use either SIM card. Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

TrevorShardani Hi Trevor, I also encountered the same problem today after updating my firmware.

After playing around in the settings I noticed it had changed my default preferred data sim to my secondary sim that had mobile data switched off.

To fix, go into Network and Internet / SIMS. Then at the bottom go into ‘Data preference’ under ‘Default SIMS’ change this to your sim you want to use the data from.

Finally go into the sim card settings for your data sim and make sure mobile data is switched on.

I don’t use dual SIM personally but have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far? Also at the time this stopped working had you recently installed a firmware update?

Derren there was an update october 1st IIRC.. using either SIM would work but not both.. weird.. i reckon it’s got to do with the update..

TrevorShardani It’s worth trying some of these steps:

Restart phone
Make sure all firmware is up to date
Try removing and reinserting SIMS (also try alternative slots)
Reset your Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth settings
Check that your mobile provider isn’t having any service issues

Failing that be sure to reach out to support or report the issue via Settings > System > Feedback.

Derren already did those.. i’ve contacted tech support too. but it seems since I bought my phone at a retailer, that i’ll have to coordinate repairs with them.

I too have this problem. When a call comes to the second sim, it rings once and gets disconnected because of this. I have installed the latest firmware, tried resetting and even interchanged the sims.

Same here. The incoming calls on the second sim gets disconnected in one ring. I deeply regret my decision in going for Nothing. I have all latest updates installed as well.

Just now realised that the problem has extended to Single sim use as well. When someone calls, the call just gets dropped and I get a single ring.

I have the same problem and now i can’t make nor receive calls even if i disable one of them + mediocre battery life.

Nothing has really let me down.

Not sure if anyone has tried this, but with Network Operators shutting down 3G networks, you need to make sure you have VoLTE activated to make/receive calls.

I’m still facing the same issue as of 10th April 2024 , have the latest firmware installed . any solutions? have tired everything mentioned here , no fruits.
