Turn off the selfie image processing

While using the camera, I've noticed that I'm fine with what the camera displays while taking the photo, but after second or so of "processing" the image turns overly processed unappealing and unnatural, even though I've turned off the "retouching" feature. Is there a way to disable this over processing?

Same here with a 2a. Post processing is atrocious and should have never been released. It is so obvious image is retouched that puts me off using the camera altogether. Please remove this post processing mayhem

Hi Team Nothing, please fix this atrocity. The processing is absolutely horrible. If you are unable to process the images well, kindly provide an option to disable this “feature”.

Does anyone else find that even with retouching turned off, the selfie camera really strongly edits the picture.

On the camera app, it looks normal. Then as soon as I take the photo, my skin colour, eyebrows, lips etc all appear retouched.

OjashwiniVerma The only way to confirm you have no post processing is to shoot in RAW. But I do not know how to turn off post processing for jpeg.

dMarko in selfie cam I don’t know but in Back cam turning of HDR is a great solution. I found out that if HDR is off the processing is not occuring or something.

This issue really annoys me, the processing always messes up my face.

What’s the point in buying a more expensive phone with a better camera if all my images are going to be messed up?

I really hope this gets fixed, surely it should be as simple as adding a button that toggles it off and on. There’s a growing anti-ai movement, so i expect more people getting annoyed with this in the near future.

I am also absolutely annoyed by this. I noticed it on the first day I bought it, and the fact that it cannot be disabled is awful. Since that first day, I have not been able to take a selfie because the damn post-processing turns my short beard into something that looks like scars on my skin. And it wouldn’t be so bad if this didn’t happen in apps like Instagram or Snapchat, but it does.

Until now, every time I take a selfie (or a photo in a mirror) , I have to take a screenshot and crop it so that it looks normal without the post-processing. It seems surreal to me to buy a new mobile phone and have to do this.

Until they fix it, I’m not going to recommend a Nothing to anyone, no matter how much I love the brand, the design and the operating system.

Idk… I’m absolutely okay with what image processing does because for me it saves many pictures I took, for example, while got a bit shaking or had too bright light. Usually it happens in portrait mode.
