I recently attended Nothing’s Q2 2025 board meeting as your Community Board Observer. If you missed my Q4 2024 or Q1 2025 digests, do check them out to keep up to date! Here’s everything I discussed with the board for Q2:
Lots of exciting things have happened at Nothing over the last quarter! Of course, the main highlights being the launch of Phone (3) and Headphone (1), as well as the CMF by Nothing Phone 2 Pro. We recently saw the update to Nothing X which now supports CMF Watch devices too, which I’ve heard great feedback on after some initial teething issues.
The phone and headphone launch event in London and drops around the world proved to be popular events, whether you wanted to make a purchase or just check out the latest devices. I spent the day in the store in Soho, speaking to lots of existing community members and new customers too. Many of you were pleasantly surprised by the bundle that was on offer which is great!

I know lots more of you are wanting to get hands on with Phone (3) and Headphone (1) and experience them for yourself. I’ve asked Nothing to provide a more up to date, clear list of offline retail partners where you can go and see the devices in person.
I’ve noticed the new Community Review program initiative by Akis and Deepanshu is going really well and some of you have been able to receive a device temporarily to try out, make content and write your reviews. The global community review program remains strong too - we’ve seen community members as far as the US involved! As for how to get involved, be active and present across community platforms and social media. Stand out to Nothing and you’ll be noticed.
We of course talked about the new Glyph Matrix, one of the standout features of Phone (3).

I mentioned how some of the first party Glyph Toys that were shown during the launch presentation, such as Spin the Bottle and Rock Paper Scissors, were seen as more fun gimmicks rather than being useful to you; and they don’t really show the full potential of the Glyph Matrix. Luckily, Nothing have released the Glyph Developer Kit without the need for an API key, so we’re already starting to see lots of functional and useful Glyph Toys from our talented community developers; as well as some experimenting too!
Nothing is working on developing a new online platform, where you’ll be able to more easily find and share your community creations such as Glyph Toys, camera presets and audio EQ profiles. In the meantime, click the links to view our threads on these topics and check out ourCo-Creation category for Glyph Toys.

We discussed the Phone (3) tagline “true flagship”, how some users were frustrated by this and how expectations could be better set in advance of future product launches. I also raised concerns about the delay of Phone (3) availability in regions such as Japan. The team are working hard to bring Phone (3) to you - stay tuned!
Next, we talked about the often confusing CMF by Nothing product naming, and how it can be sometimes difficult to choose the best product. The team are working on refining the product range and improving the naming in future generations, as we’re now seeing with CMF Watch 3 Pro. The lack of first-party accessories for CMF Phone 2 Pro was also acknowledged. The team are looking into options for expanding availability of accessories in future devices.

I relayed your frustrations with the previous flagship, Phone (2), being the last device to receive the Nothing OS 3.2 update. The team will work on a new rollout plan for all current devices.
And lastly, I discussed with the Customer Experience manager how some Ear (a) users are experiencing unusual battery drain problems. As always, if you’re experiencing a hardware issue, please do reach out to the official support team as this is the best way to get these resolved.
Thanks for reading my Q2 digest - I hope it was useful to you! Please let me know what topics you’d like to see me cover in Q3.
See you all again soon <3
