I am going to hijack this thread and also post some comparisons I’ve done a while ago, shooting my Nothing Phone (2) besides my Phone (3)

Makro example on the NP3.

And the counterpart snapped with NP2.

Yet another macro taken with NP3…

…and counterpart taken with the predecessor.

Trying out 3x zoom of the NP3, which is the base of the phone’s periscope camera.

The NP2 has to rely on digital zoom of the main camera.

NP3 at 10x zoom looks still fairly usable…

…especially when comparing it to the 10x zoom of the NP2, which is the highest zoom level availble.

NP3’s main camera at native 1x zoom level.

And the NP2’s main camera also at the native 1x zoom level.
Overall the camera upgrade is quite substantial and it’s not only limited to the new telephoto capabilities of the new phone. It seems like image processing is much more consistent and, especially visible in some nature green environments, the colors are less extreme saturated. In fact the new NP3 performs better than I expected, it seems like Nothing has been doing some homework and took more care towards camera R&D.
I am especially surprised with the more extreme zoom levels: Even 30x and 60x can still be somewhat usable, especially for online sharing purposes only. Yes, there is heavy image processing and most likely some AI wizardry at work, however it is quite impressive seeing the final, processed result vs. what can be seen during the live preview. Gone are the times of aquarelle paintings.
My only negative observation relates to the sometimes odd autofocus behavior of the main camera, I’ve noticed a couple of scenarios where it either completely failed to focus while the NP2 was spot on or the shots being slightly blurry because of not ideal focus.
