Now that we know that Nothing is more than just an audio brand, and phone(1) is here, and the focus given on the ‘ecosystem’ part has really got me excited.

Nothing Ecosystem

I personally think that next product from Nothing will be a smart watch - it will not act like an independent product with all the bells and whistles but instead it will act as an extension to the phone(1) or other phones (cuz yeah, @Carl focused on a compatible ecosystem). It will be, in its decency, a dot matrix watch which shows digital clock on standby with a clean watch OS on the inside. The main function of this watch will be ease-of-access and not on the current hunger for feature, feature, and more features which most people won’t use. The strap has to be transparent, but not like the soft TPU material which’ll turn yellow in a few week 😛

So here’s a fun thread - make guesses about what more products will be released on this journey, it can be TVs, Gaming Consoles, Robo Vac (?) or anything else which you all can imagine. Make sure to also describe what you expect from that product 🙂

    Honestly, I like the smartwatch idea. Currently rocking a Fossil Sport, wanting to upgrade but the Samsung watches are a little too expensive for me. I hope that if they release a watch in the future that they manage to keep the price below the current market.

    They also talked about tech that feels like “nothing” and blends into surroundings. I wonder if they’ll start making things like smart NFC-enabled rings.

    As @Yash wrote in his post, I too think that the next project, certainly in development, will be a smartwatch.

    Of course in the logical continuation with a complete integration in the eco-system that Carl and Nothing will develop, with graphics like this picture.

    At the moment I have a Suunto 7 which is connected to my smartphone, which I use mainly for my sports activities.

    I’m already looking forward to seeing and testing the Nothing (1) smartphone and how the OS is configured.

      Agreed, I guess the UI will follow similar design elements as phone OS, so we’ll have to wait to see how they build stock apps

          I know its odd but I want them to make an eBike like Cowboy down the line.

          We all know Google home allows pairing up the speakers to work like stereo. I just put a concept on discord of the design channel of pairing up the speakers. But it can be more than just that. Using nothing ecosystem we may be able to achieve it.

          Some of us may be familiar with setting up the home theatre system. 2.1, 5.1 and 7.1 channel systems. But in a Nothing ecosystem, you can create such a system and save them.

          Example: I have speakers set up around my living room,

          • I can choose setting number 1 to work as the main channel and play the song all around the living room when I have a party.
          • Use the same set of speakers and make them work like stereo by choosing settings number 2 for movies. taking full advantage of Dolby Atmos.
          • Maybe the small stereo system can replace current systems to work like above even with wired speakers and able to control individual speakers. Even non-nothing products.
          • You can able to use these same settings across the ecosystem. From Phones, Tablets, PC while gaming or Watching TV

          (Maybe this can be used for wired which is something I am not sure how it can be achieved)

          Yash Nice topic and I am looking forward to seeing all the responses from everyone. I’m curious as well to see how the ecosystem will work, once we have other products to all connect together. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait too long to see this 🙏
