USB-C charging is a versatile and efficient way to power various devices. It utilizes Power Delivery (PD) and Programmable Power Supply (PPS) protocols to dynamically negotiate power delivery, ensuring optimal charging efficiency and safety. While it’s generally safe to use any USB-C charger with a compatible device, understanding the charger’s capabilities and the device’s power requirements can optimize charging speed.

    Misconceptions and Their Impact:

    - Using a Low-Power Charger with a High-Demand Device: The device will only receive the power it needs, potentially extending charging time.

    - Using a High-Power Charger with a Low-Demand Device: The charger will automatically adjust its output, but the device won’t benefit from faster charging speeds.

    - Using a Non-PD Charger with a PD-Compatible Device: The device will still charge but may not achieve the fastest charging speeds.

kuldeepkhowal The 0-100 is almost the same, as it trickle charges after ~80%. But the 0-50% should be a bit faster on the 45W. So if you primarily charge your phone overnight, it shouldn’t matter.

Because I can’t find the phone 2’s adapter in my country, I’ve been using Anker’s 45w adapter and braided type-c to type-c cord for awhile now. They are well made and have good quality.

I’ve been using Samsung’s 25w pd charger and while charging the screen automatically turns on and charging sound beeps. are you facing this kind of issue?

In case it helps anyone, I have been using the UGREEN Nexode 45W charger and it works fine.
