[Bug Report] CMF Phone 2 Pro - Misstouch Prevention Triggering Incorrectly

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using the CMF Phone 2 Pro, and I’ve come across a recurring issue with the Misstouch Prevention feature on the lock screen usually used when the phone is in the pocket.

Issue:

The phone often thinks it’s in my pocket when it’s not. The screen displays a message:

Remove anything covering this area

Even when I’m holding the phone in my hand, with nothing covering the sensor, it still refuses to unlock or function until I press the power button several times or move it around.

What I’ve Tried:

Confirmed no screen protector or case is covering the proximity sensor.

Cleaned the top part of the screen/sensor area.

Restarted the device and checked for software updates.

Request:

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Could this be a bug in the proximity sensor logic or a software calibration issue? Hoping the CMF/Nothing team can look into it and push a fix soon — it’s affecting day-to-day usability

a5hubh i suggest you to contact nothing support on email or write a feedback from your phone…it will reach nothing team…

I have it turned off. Sometimes found myself pulling it out from my pocket and calling emergency services. 💀

Same issue here. Support had me try rebooting, updating, and cleaning the sensor — nothing worked. The only step left is a factory reset, though I’m not sure if it will help

Hey everyone,

I’ve been using the CMF Phone 2 Pro and came across a few issues. Just wanted to know if it’s a common bug or something specific to my device (maybe due to my screen guard):

1. Single tap to wake doesn’t always work. Sometimes I need to press the power button instead.

2. On WhatsApp voice messages, audio randomly switches to the call speaker instead of the main speaker.

3. On the lock screen, I often get a warning saying “Don’t touch this upper area” or “Avoid touching this area”.

Has anyone else faced these? Would love to know if it’s a known bug or if I should try troubleshooting on my side.

a5hubh I’m facing the same issue. Although it works fine after restarting the device but it’s happening again after 3-4 hours simultaneously. Did you have fixed the problem or got any solution?
