Power button double-click gesture triggering on single press - help

So yeah I use double click power button gestures but I have an issue sometimes when I single click the power button it immediately starts the gesture setting soo I don’t really know what to do I would like some help with this

mohanadxb360 if you’re using cover…try without cover… i had this problem with my old phone…where it got stuck and clicked twice…and on my cmf phone 1 volume buttons getting pressed together because of cover…

Solved.

Hi , I was facing the same problem. Contacted the nothing community via feedback.

They suggested a few steps, out of which 1 worked. I uninstalled 2 recent apps and my phone is working just fine. This is not a hardware issue

Turns out Apps are causing bugs.

World0fNick I’ve had the same issue for some time now. I turned on tap to wake and completely stopped using the power button because it became too unreliable. I think its probably corrosion or something due to the poor quality of the phone

andrejsava That is very unfortunate to hear. I just got the phone 3a 6 months ago and this issue is driving me nuts since i got used to using gestures.

..definitely the last time im buying a nothing product

World0fNick Yeah same, I was pretty excited about the 4 series, but I think I’m gonna wait for this one to completely die and I’m getting a Pixel next. I’m done with Nothing

I have the same issue on my 3a pro. After some months the power button would register double taps and open camera when locking or unlocking the phone. This is definitely a hardware issue. Never had this on other phones, their build quality is quite bad honestly. Next phone will be other brand unfortunately.
