Hey folks! I'm a long-time fan of Nothing and also a developer. I'm convinced that Glyph Toys are a nice way to do things without touching the phone and drowning in buttons, notifications and options But the main thing: they must be really useful, not just "Yet Another Funny Thing I Will Forget About After My Weekend" So, here comes the question… ### What would you like Glyph Toys to help you with? Share your opinions and experiences here!

CMF1_hacker And quick look at a tiny semi-gimmicky and pixel-density-limited screen will tell you that in any significant detail? But yes, to answer your question, it will. This moment I can confidently say that there won’t be any rain today, try to give it a go and guess how do I know that:

Anonymous931 no reason to be off-putting like usual. The weather data provided by AccuWeather to NOTHING is very low-quality.

The BBC weather widget from The Met Office is significantly better.

Even better if my Garmin which uses GPS to pull directly from the closest weather station.

Edit: Regarding accuracy - multiple times I was being constantly spammed with “heavy thunderstorm”, “rain showers” and similar crap with that default Weather app, while at the same time there was not a single cloud outside and it was nothing but sun and 35°C+ temperature. Turned it all off because it’s useless.

Anonymous931 well, it’s important to state why it’s poor quality, i.e. pulling data from AccuWeather, as that service/data is used by a lot of weather app and it should be avoided.

Your personal claim that a “head out the window” means very little to most. It looks like it does to you as that place looks weather-steay or boring to me, no seaside in the view or large hills as examples.

Yeah, those are some known disadvantages of relying too much on the tech alone - people simply lose basic abilities to do basic things, so they need info/weather on Glyph Matrix to tell them if it’s day outside or night, sunny or cloudy etc.

Edit: Btw, weather conditions is what you initially said (and I replied to that), that’s definitely not the same as a weather forecast as you say now:

Weather condition = current state (and you need Glyph Matrix to help you in that as looking out through window is not possible for some reason).
Weather forecast = prediction about future weather conditions based on meteorological data and models.

Major difference, this is not even me nitpicking nor being a smartass (or pedantic).

Ok another idea. Maybe Matrix can show stars on the sky when you move ? Or show a constellation and you have to try to find it looking at the sky ?

Display time, like now, and add date. So time and date is visible at once. This can’t be that hard..🙂

Anonymous931 The prospect of a weather glyph toy really isn’t that bad when you consider the existence of the native sundial/solar clock glyph toy, like sure looking at the sun hurts but I can still tell when the sun will set y’know
